Hey RP anons, why would a forsaken who was a knight errant be in major cities like Orgrimmar? Working on the character but the basics are: forsaken knight who frequents forests/swamps as a guide for travellers, usually in exchange for some trinket or just gold. I just can't think of any reason as to why he would leave the dark corners of the wilderness but I'd love to participate in events like The Grand Bazaar. Any ideas? Should I forget the knight part and make him a mercenary in life?

Outlaw has aoe leech which makes it extremely sustainable, this is ignoring the vodka ability and the boost you can get that makes it heal about 60% HP in combat

Ranged are always taken in mythic+ for whatever reason. They have affixes that fuck melee up if they aren't paying attention, like quaking/sanguine. Ranged have so little to worry about that they can just cast off in their own little corner for 99% of fights while melee are getting fucked left and right.

As for raids, specific classes are more desired than roles. And you also don't want to stack too many classes to forfeit utility.

They go down a priority system, though you definitely need a balance for shit like Eonar or Coven/Varim.

Warlocks are the most desired because of portals and healthstones
Then come Heroism/Bloodlust dispensers (shamans, BM hunters, mages), you can't expect DPS to not be braindead and carry drums.
Then come ranged. The stigma is that melee always die because they have the most mechanics to deal with being in such close proximity to the boss, and it's true.
Then finally come melee with no appreciable utility now that soaks are gone.

The only really special utility I can think of is during Coven's army ability you can really cheese it with Typhoon pushback or Mass Entangle the walls. Or on Aggramar you can Banish an add with a Warlock. No other classes do it better.

It doesn't matter what class you are as tank though. Even if you aren't adequately geared they will take you if the group has less than 2 just to avoid the wait. That's not the same for DPS. You get discriminated on if you have below a ridiculous item level or worse, if they check your fucking logs. You can't do the same to a tank because meters don't do a good job of displaying tank aptitude.
