I kind of want to play an MMO, couple of questions.
1. Should I be at all familiar with Final Fantasy games?
2. Is this an accessible game? I have played a bit of WoW private servers and an hour of GW2, but have never gotten anywhere near end game content in any MMO.
3. Should I buy on steam?

Anyone have guides or know the meta for Rival wings? Been playing tanks and healers and I have a 20% win rate. Am I really going to have to play 500 games to get my mount?

Seems no matter what I spend efforts on nothing seems to matter. I've tried escorting mammots, escorting oppressors, hunting down enemy robots, defending middle and I'm not having any luck. I can 1v1 pretty reliably, and pick off someone trying to run, but I can't 1v24.

Accessible how? There's plenty of stuff to do as a casual player just starting now, but if you want to quickly get to endgame it's a bit of a slog.

General consensus is no. If you buy it on Steam you lock yourself to buying all the expansions on Steam in the future.

2: Not at all. The game has well over 500 Main Story Quests that you have to complete before getting anywhere close to current content.
3: I wouldn't I have it on steam myself but I'd rather not.

2. It is very accessible if we are speaking in terms of gameplay. You have a shitload of stuff to get through in terms of plot.

It is pretty accessible, and catching up is very easy, especially once a new set of tomestone gear comes out.

I haven't updated and I'm lazy though.

download the unlimited trial. it does a bad representation of how all classes play but puts in good perspective the pace of the main story quests you have to do to progress to L50/60/70 levelcap content. If you hate how the quests treat you i would move on since it wont get better for a long time when you reach the trial level cap (150-200+ more quests after that to reach the first expansion)
