Darkbeast Paarl is such a fucking mess of a fight. The camera ends up being such a bitch to deal with and all my hits miss. And partially because I suck.

Tips?

This is the official Bloodborne comic, say something nice about it

It has great reaction images

...

Why does everyone feel the need to lock on to Paarl? Literally just stop clicking your right stick in and the fight becomes a lot more manageable. He's still one of the more difficult bosses, but people like making him so much harder than he has to be.

Play unlocked, go for the limbs, once they fall you can go for the head. Keep track of which limbs have fallen so you can go for another. Pungent Blood Cocktails can keep him distracted a bit, the AoE explosion can be iframed

>Playing locked on giant enemies
Paarl and BLB are impossible locked on, easy when unlocked

8th for the Queen

...I-I was unlocked

Yeah, unlocked will also fuck the camera but it doesn't move your character in ways you don't want it to, you'll eventually learn to beat him pretty much without using your eyes, we all do eventually.

>Missed the new thread again
FUCK
PURGE FILTH

It's okay to leave the bloodtinge at 10 for a Reiter build? Or should I level it to the soft cap?

If you care more about weapon and riposte damage than bullet damage it's fine

Yes it's okay to keep it at base, the scaling isn't great

iirc the bloodtinge scaling only affects the bullets from the trick form, so ignoring it past the requirement is fine.

Whats the point of going Reiter if you're not going to combo it with cannon? The utility of the tricked form is the single greatest thing about it.

>want to SKL
>all the weapons are too classy for my tastes
Haha time for saw spear
Again

The gun form is neat but it's outclassed by the actual left hand guns. If you raise BLT any higher you'd be better off using the Evelyn or the Repeater. It's still a good utility depending on what you pair it with in your left hand.

Boss everyone said was hard that you found easy?

Boss everyone said was easy but you found hard?

Logarius
Darkbeast Paarl

>Horseface
>Autistic Beast

>Boss everyone said was hard that you found easy?
Maris.
>Boss everyone said was easy but you found hard?
I struggled with the chalice version of BSB and HBLB the most, I think.

>too classy
Saif is the antithesis of classy

>HBLB
Yeah me too. It's absurd how much trouble that thing can give me sometimes.

>The gun form is neat but it's outclassed by the actual left hand guns. If you raise BLT any higher you'd be better off using the Evelyn or the Repeater. I

At 50 BLT the rieterpallache (with 3 27.2% Tempering gems) does slightly more damage per bullet than an Evelyn with a 31.5% Bloodtinge gem. The difference gets wider and wider the less BLT you have.

If you put some 31.5% offshapes in your Reiter it would do 457 damage per bullet.

It can't be buffed with BMA though, but you shouldn't be using BMA on Evelyn anyway, Cannons and Repeater only for best value.

Laurance, he's annoying but he's not really that tough

Rom, now-a-days I can beat him easily but the first time playing the game he kicked my ass so many fucking times because I just had no idea how to juggle his Romlings and the meteor attack

soooo anyone have a good farm for bolt gems radials? im trying to use tonitrus on a 43 but having a hard time finding good radials without going deep in chalice dungeons

>Boss everyone said was hard that you found easy?
Orphan of Kos
>Boss everyone said was easy but you found hard?
FUCKING ROM

>31.5% offshapes
The mistake in my post was forgetting that everyone else here is actually autistic enough to farm these.

1. Laurence. NG+6 Laurence is unironically one of my favorite fights.
2. Probably Keeper of the Old Lords in any cursed dungeon when on any build that doesn't have access to a) Beast Roar or B) High visceral damage.
She's a fucking bitch

Hamlet fish wizards drop 20.3% bolt radials

Oh wow I forgot about that thing. Pretty easy to get, too.

>ost gets to the middle part where the music goes silent with the exact timing and all
>"ahh, you were at my side all along"
>music goes from very dark and menacing to grand and majestic
really brings a tear in my eye..... this is true kino

*rings bell*

best pants

Vicar Amelia. She never tried to recover HP when I fought her

Paarl

>summons a group of the deadliest enemy in the entire game
Fuck spiders.

Does really nobody have a say about Arianna's... thing? You know the... thing.

The first time I saw it, it was so surreal that the cutscene came across as almost comical to me. It's a hell of an experience.

Don't talk to me or my prostitute's son ever again.

>/dsg/ comprises three games, one of which more recent than BB
>almost dead some nights
What keeps you guys here? Is it the chalice dungeons?
I haven't played the dlc, and hesitate to take my character past Rom until I get it. Ive heard more than enough times that it's the best parts of the game

>Didn't start with "oh dear, what was it? The blood, the hunt, or the terrible dream?"
Shame on you user

Correction, FOUR games, including Demon's souls.

Wheeled it immediately. Fucking cosmicniggers rapin our women

>Ive heard more than enough times that it's the best parts of the game
Prepare to hear it again then, because it absolutely is. That, FCs, and chalice co op

Is there any real point in doing the FR in FRC? I know one of them causes a bunch of hunters to spawn, which can be useful for some builds, but does having red aura enemies really help any? I've been eternally low on Sage's Hairs, and I'm debating just finding some madmen to grind or finishing up my NG to get it to show up in the insight bath.

All kosmulattos and kosniggers in Yharnam should be aborted to keep the streets free of alien brain-rapists

FC's? Whats an FC?

It's the beautiful moments like and pic related. The entire game was full of stuff like this while DS3 only had a few that I 'felt', you know what I mean.

Lurk. More.

>The blood, the hunt, or the terrible dream?
Which one corresponds to which Dark Souls?

FIGHT CLUBZ

>When the horns kick in as he stands upright sword in hand, and the choir goes while you're dodging moonlasers
Kinoest of kino

...

I love when the highest and most intense part of the chorus to 'the holy blade' portion of the song will often start around the time he does an AOE or that infinetly long Line AOE

Don't summon help for the first boss in the DLC and quickly play through it before you get spoilt. Its really something else.
And I don't just mean "Hurr durr its a nice boss" I mean "You will ruin the greatest moment in the game if you get the 1st DLC boss spoilt for you"

>The blood
Dark Souls III

>the hunt
Dark Souls

>the terrible dream
Dark Souls II

we can't escape this terrible hunters dream

DLC is end game content user, basically designed with Mensis gems in mind on NG, and chalice gems on NG+

This. Summoning is only forgivable if you come close to winning solo

>died to the celestial emissary for the first time ever
terrible feeling

fuk I probably should've included that I meant the npcs. Was expecting the dweller or at least someone else at the chapel to say something about it. Thanks for your input through I chortled at that stupid meme.

Did you have a complete failure of spatial awareness and get stuck between a pack of little ayys and a wall while Emissary slapped you to death

i rolled into the wall and got swarmed, also im playing really badly today

Don't feel bad, thats probably happened to all of us at one point

post valtr

Every time I beat a boss in this game I get scared about if I'll be able to beat the next one.

>originally wasn't big into str weapons because they were too slow
>try out a str/arc build for the hmls
>turn enemies into mush with transformed slam l1's and r2 r2 combos
>maria boss fight becomes a nonstop bullyfest
any other weapons that are really satisfying to land hits with?

oh and forgot to mention the sword's l2 attack. I love how it sends enemies flying

>59% of players beat Father Gascoigne

Now I'm not sure if the PS4's trophy unlocks are accurate, but did 41% of the people who bought this game not get passed him? Kinda strange

>
using quickstep wheel slams is pretty fun in my book

Did Eileen, Djura, Gascoigne, Henryk or any of the OG hunters ever knew about the great ones?

There's like no art of him bro

59%? wow
I remember seeing that 85% had killed pontiff in ds3 on ps4.
Who buys the best game of the decade only to stop before the first real boss?

a real shame
considering he's the cutest

Valtr sliders when?

The version of Bloodborne that's getting datamined is unpatched.

I was curious and checked to see if there was any __porn__ of him, but it looks like there's none at all.

I know, that's why I'm asking. Patched data when?

...

true, theres some good erotica though

>renew my PS+ first time since buying PS4 in preparation for MHW demo
>log in BB with my spelunking char (BL250+)
>surprisingly find some summons pretty quickly
>run into some picrelated
>the summons rush them and R1 spam
>unsurprisingly they get oneshot
How do you reach this point in the game and don't recognize these old women (men) things are some of the deadliest enemies in the dungeons?

Eileen and Djura also dreamed just like we did. I would think that they know that there is something greater.

>hi hater
>bye hater

Just type his japanese name into twitter both jp and kr fangirls draw him plenty

>autistic screech
>single digits fps
>instant summons
>more fps drop and screeching
They are the worst enemy in the game but I still hope to find a room with six of them shoulder by shoulder

There is absolutely no point in going pure STR or pure SKL, is there?

More Vit/End if you're staying at a certain meta.

imgur.com/a/zqkmk To the user who wanted them, sliders for my old man

indeed

Would you say Bloodborne creepier/scarier than the DS games? I don't know what it is about Bloodborne, but a part of me gets a weird anxious feeling as I progress that I never had with the DS games

...

It's more tense, aye. I know a lot of folk freaked out at the cosmic horror stuff

It definitely features more gore and body horror elements than the Souls games, despite Miyazaki's lies about enemies having to always look dignified blah blah blah. As for actually being scared of the picture on the screen - that depends on every individual player.

Yes, just because dejavu sages exist. Nothing quite falling through the floor down a dark tunnel and seeing a madman silhouette slowly turn to you.

I don't know about the DS games, but my guess would be a combination of
>Lovecraftian horror
>Aggressive enemies
>No shield to hide behind

It's because in Souls games, the world has already ended and you're traveling through the post-apocalypse in hopes of fixing everything back to how it used to be (or letting it die for good). Bloodborne is different in that it takes place DURING the apocalypse. At the beginning of the game there's still people everywhere, Yharnam seems like a functioning city that's just going through a temporary crisis. It feels like there's some hope that maybe you'll be able to stop everything before it's too late. Then night falls and all the nameless NPCs around the city stop responding to you, all you hear from their homes are screams of terror. The NPCs you saved at the chapel start acting funny. Blood moon arrives, Yharnam goes silent because everyone is either dead or turned into beasts. Even your first friend and ally, Gilbert, turns into a beast right in front of you and tries to kill you, and all you can do is put him out of his misery. All your friends at the chapel have lost their minds or been raped and mindbroken by eldritch horrors. By the time you've gotten to the end of the game, Yharnam is in the sort of state that a Souls game's world is in at the start of the game. The difference being that you actually experience the decline, and "dude it's grimdark" isn't implied, it's outright shown to you. I've never felt any sense of dread in a Souls game, but my first Bloodborne playthrough really gave me some feels.

>tfw horribly creeped out by the Graveyard Hags

I had no issues killing them, just their design, body language and voice really fucking terrifies me. I really find horror terrifying in the image of a woman. Shit like The Grudge, The Ring, The Conjuring fucking creep me out. Had no spoops with the game until I first made my way to the witches.

Starting pants are the best pants.

I think it has a more sad/lonely feeling. In DaS there will be a handful of npcs who hang around you and understand your predicament. In Yharnam the first outsider you meet is an ill man who's dying, and the other hunters are either mad, or broken, old husks of their former selves. All of which who die unless you never complete their questlines. Bloodborne is fucking depressing. #SaveGilbert2018
