Russian '''naval''' ''''''''''design''''''''''

>Russian '''naval''' ''''''''''design''''''''''

Looks like aeronef or something

Marko Ramius would not have defected in that thing I tell you hwat

>Mы кpyжимcя, кaк "пoпoвкa",
>A впepeд ни нa вepшoк.

looks cool

though probably not all that practical (or cost effective)

The Novgorod monitor was appallingly unseaworthy, but it did carry much heavier armor and main battery than ships of the same draft. It just couldn't steer for shit.

>Surrounded by nature
>suck as naval designs

*Ocean

they were mostly just refurbished trade ships

You should see Yamato-Heian period warships.
>EXPOSED ROWERS ON THE SIDES.
>Wonder why you lose 100 ships in naval battles with Chinks in Three Kingdoms period Korea.

>Those fucking retarded boats

JUST

The truth is out there.

Fucking gooks

OP was that thing ever even built? or put into service? cause most, if not all, russian ironclads look more like pic related.

>literally hut on a raft

Turtle ship Korea

>Warships looking like house boats
It's like a hobo armada

>French naval design

>graeco-roman war""""""""""""ships"""""""""""

It must've been hell to be one of those rowers. As if the job wasn't bad enough you have to do it on foot, without loosing your balance. And that's even without counting you're exposed to enemy arrows.

>ACCURATE
>sentence in english about the french

doubt.jpg

Brits in the early 19th century were paranoid as fuck about secret French technology to invade them

How do those... things even work?

They should have been more worried about Italians desu

>an accurate representation
>carries 60,000 men

This is a dubious claim.

The Novgorod was a one-off, but it was built and used as a coastal defense monitor. It ended life as a stores ship, and was then scrapped.

fucking kek

the thing looks like it would spin around when you shot one of the main guns

Shut up, that thing looks fucking cool.

Ayyyyyy

>Russian '''naval''' ''''''''''maintenance''''''''''

HOLY SHIT

>Concept art for Battlefield 1805

>shouldn't we keep the rowers INSIDE the ship?
>no see that's what the archers expect you to do

Is that a siege tower on a rowboat?

But you have to remember, those "Chinese" planes would not be taking off without Russian engines.

Who manages the fire? Is there a string going up into the ballon?

>oi boss i can't get an angle cos this boats too cramped
>dont worry itoshi ive got a great idea
>just stand on this plank instead lad

Russians be crazy as hell

why is this design bad for battle?

Where else would you put your siege tower?

>Russian
>"tank"
>"""design"""

It worked well enough for sharks ,didn't it?

The J-15 uses the Shenyang WS-10, a domestically produced engine. It's the J-20 and J-31 that are using Russian engines on the prototypes.

It's Iki no Nihonwa desu I aint gotta explain shit nigga

And you think that the WS-10 isn't built on stolen technology?

It was actually OK for naval battles in Japan for much of the 1400s.

...but they used it well into the 1500s and early 17th century. You know, when everyone in Eurasia used cannons on their ships, making the damn things slow, hard to miss targets?

The entirety of Russian jet engine development is based off of stolen technology, so they shouldn't complain.

But actually the WS-10 is based off of a western turbofan used on the A320 and 737, of which the Chinese obtained several in the 80s during the post-Nixon thaw and have spent several decades bringing their metallurgy and engineering processes up to tech to build derivative designs. The Chinese have rightly figured they're better off copying western designs instead of inferior engines.

It didn't even have sails. You can figure out the rest.

To be fair to the Japanese, it is because the Chinese did use tower ship designs in their own naval warfare. A lot of East Asians liked the Chinese tower design since it was a mobile fort that gave advantage to your boarders & crossbowmen in naval combat, as well as a stable platform for mounting siege weapons.

But these ships were used only in riverine and litoral (coastal) battles. At sea, the Chines used their junks. Furthermore the Chinks abandoned towr ships during the age of naval gunnery. Which is the stupid part on Japan.

fucking kek

105 IQ my ass

HAS SCIENCE GONE TOO FAR?
