Hey siegers, how have you been enjoying the new season? I Love the new operators, I think Ubisoft made some really cool additions this season, and I think Dokkaibei is the coolest new operator, the new mechanics with her cameras and the "meta" addition of the phones as an interaction between operators is so cool!! The creative team at ubisoft really has a handle on what they are doing, there game just keeps getting better and better!! But I think the best new added feature to rainbow six: siege is the report toxicity button. Is someone being abusive/homophobic/racist/etc in chat? Just report them for toxic behavior! Is someone spawnpeeking, backseat gaming, or not being a good teamate and carrying there weight? Report them! I'm curious as to how ubisoft handles the reports, is if a "three strikes and your out" system, and their account is banned/suspended from chat? I think it would be better if they were banned from the game, like how overwatch dealt with hackers when they found out their were hackers in there game. This new report button has been exactly what this game has needed since when I started playing in velvet shell! Thats all I wanted to say, have fun out there everybody, and keep up the good work ubisoft!!!

Shotguns in the game are designed along the somewhat inaccurate idea that shotguns are only good at point blank range.

Realistically shotguns are effective up to medium range unless you're using slugs which are about as good over long ranges as a medium rifle.

Because of this shotguns are absolutely shit when compared to every other weapon as you literally need to be in your opponents face to get a kill shot, and most other weapons can do the job just as well without the gimp of not being useful anywhere else.

At this point shotguns are only useful at blowing holes in walls so Jackal and Mira having a shotgun as a secondary is nice because you get that utility without sacrificing a real weapon.

To fix it I'd say up the damage as the damage disperses over distance anyway and make the choke adjustable with barrel mods. Still deadly at close range while also being able to accurately do damage up to middle range, plus kill shots if you can accurately get the head.
Or come with the ability to choose slugs so you can have some range.

Primary: shotgun with beanbag rounds (always inflicts DBKO instead of killing)

Secondary: taser

Ability: loads a taser round into the shotgun. Fired like a slug. On impact, causes damage, disorientation, violent aimpunch and random presses of the trigger for a few seconds.

Passive: DBKO enemies can be taken into custody by melee'ing them to apply cuffs then 'escorting' them to the edge of the map like a hostage. Successfully extracting an enemy will add a minute to the round timer.

Just quickly peek and then get back in cover. If someone is holding that angle you will always see them before they can see you.

Not him, but about peeking: The brain takes some time to process an image. So even if you're looking at an enemy, it's hard to "know" right away.
So the best thing to do when you need to peek into a room, is to just press (not hold) Q/E. You'll get a general image of the room, then you can rely on photographic memory to figure out if you saw any enemies, and then act accordingly (if they were looking at you, don't peek again, for instance).

The issues with shotties is that the TTK is so fucking low that in an open engagement against someone with an automatic weapon you will most likely just lose the fight and die, the action of pumping and firing twice might as well be an eon compared to the RoF of a rifle. Also the removal of headshot multipliers, if they brought those back shotties would be pretty gud.
