it's just because it hasn't gotten an english release yet and Ao has been out long enough that people generally know it's in the top 3.
It'll be different when CS3 gets a stateswide release
Joseph Gonzalez
>people literally vote for Ao even though they haven't play it yet The state of kiseki fans
Carson Thompson
could've played it with the spreadsheet
Nicholas Cruz
Ao is so great even a partial shitty translation managed to convey it.

To be fair, I played Cold Steel 3 using the google translator smartphone app, and I firmly believe it is the second-best game in the series overall. Better than Ao, which I played with the spreadsheet.
Nolan Ramirez
>google translator smartphone app Do you like stop and translate every fucking sentence
Caleb Allen
CS3 is good but it also seems better than it actually is because 1 and 2 were really that bad in comparison.
Logan Thompson
Depends. I organized things into three tiers:
>Essential-tier, scenes and lines that I took the time to screenshot and carefully read, sometimes doing it twice to double-check Google's accuracy or to better understand the meaning >Necessary-tier, scenes and lines that I either screenshotted once to translate and get the idea of what they're saying, or I sometimes used the real-time translating option if I felt lazy to speed it up. >Unecessary-tier, scenes and lines (filler text, sidequests if I did them) that I either translated exclusively with the real-time option or not at all I didn't do and translate every line. I just focused on understanding the story and the most important lines.
Overall, I'm happy with the time i spent on the game. Google translator was surprisingly useful and accurate.

I'm not the person that keeps spamming the "Estelle is a homophobe" thing but one thing I did have a gripe with is how very sexist the game is. Estelle constantly gets remarks such as "I can't believe a bracer is a girl!" and "Why don't you put on a skirt and act like other girls your age?" among other things such as people telling her she is not sexy and that sort of thing, mostly stemming from her being a strong female. (Strong in body not in mind, remember this. She is not so sharp.) Also so many NPC in their houses are saying things like "I need to cook dinner for my husband!". I know the average 4channer won't mind this but it does get overwhelming with how often it comes up in the game if you are the sort of person who is into "Equalism". For female leads I much prefer Prier or Cornet.

Haven't see this pasta for awhile
Jose Ward
>"equalism" >in my chinese cartoon games I'll never understand people who actively look for things in the wrong place.

We can all agree that CS3 has the most fun combat, right? Damn that game was fun to play
Chase Morris
Glad someone recognized it. Would you happen to know what happened to /jrpg/? Haven't been to Veeky Forums since 2012
Mason Flores
Most of the time its inactive like this general and its filled with few shitposters
Luis Garcia
>ignoring the fact that all of those remarks support Richard and the duke's own sexism

Remember to protect your lolis.

Why do people think fictional societies must have values that mirror our own?
Hudson Scott
Because they are humans.

Not an excuse

Is the Gagharv Trilogy worth trying?
Matthew Cook
Not in english. The translation is notoriously bad to the extent that the games are practically unplayable
What would happen if you make Sara live on Crossbell water?
Jeremiah Mitchell
Sara can't get any bigger because she's past the growing age
Ayden Barnes
Didn't know we were excusing things but ok.
Hunter Parker
>Renne = player
I am Renne!
Carter Robinson
i dunno if I should bother playing ao
if i hafta look back and forth from the game to the script and I can't do the quests in the order I prefer, I have to follow the thread of the script or else I lose my place, what's even the point of playing why not just read the script and skip the game
