You can't do that without causing desyncs when playing online I think they mean hitstop. When you strike a weak spot with a strong attack, like the superpound, your character momentarily freezes in place to emphasize how strong your attack is. However, they've drastically increased the hitstop in the early World-demos, so it looks stupid.

In this specific circumstance it actually wouldn't. Ideally they would fix the hitboxes on that specific attack, reduce hitlag, and increase your forward momentum so it actually looks like each attack is connecting.

Which game? If 3U, definitely. In 4U, it might be handy, but I have only used it for one set I prefer honest, tight hitboxes to crutches like that. The same happens when you stagger a monster with the wind-up hit of the superpound so the main hit misses. It feels like shit, but I wouldn't enjoy having a ridiculous hitbox to compensate for that. It would feel like cheating
