Why the Reformation is viewed so positively?

Why the Reformation is viewed so positively?

The more I read about it, the less appealing in looks. While in the beginning it was a legitimate protest against abuses by the Catholic church (which sometimes against the will of Catholic establishment), it quickly degenerated into something ugly. The Protestants turned out to be far less tolerant and far more aggressive than the Catholics ever were.

>>burn heretics

You mean like Servet who got burned by Calvin and his flock?

Calvinists are ISIS-tier. Meanwhile Spanish basically attempted genocide.

Where?

>two thousands and sixteen
>people still believe the black myth of spain

Netherlands.

Well you have to consider what was going on in Spain at the time with the Muslims

>People exposed us for what we really are
>Must be lies!
Every. Single. Time. The existence of the black myth is the real myth here.

The great demonic cancerous plagues sent to destroy mankind:
>Islam
>Protestantism
>Enlightenment
>French Revolution and its products
>communism
>the sexual revolution

> Why the Reformation is viewed so positively?
Because is tried to solve the problems, instead of letting Church to be more and more corrupted day by day.

Why not throw Christianity in there when you already are at it?

Lets take a look at the Americas

The north is, or was, protestant. The Europeans maintained their ethnic purity and built great success

The south is catholic and populated by a tiny minority of Europeans and assorted brown mongrels. It is mostly a shithole

Protestant >>>> Catholic (although in the post war period both are awful)

I believe that Catholic Quebeck is doing quite well. Latin America is a shithole for other reasons than religion.

>French
>Catholic
Yeah, right. It speaks volumes that the most successful Catholics were the least sincere believers.

The sad part is you might actually believe that.

t. Perfidious Albion

>Austrians
>North Italians

Not him but Leddihn had a similar theory and it's pretty sensible.

>Prussia destroyed by ww2 and soviet occupation
>Catholic Barveria gyz!!!!

Put the power in the hands of the people instead of the Church. Whether its a good or bad is up to the people, who have chosen their route

Prussia had it coming.

Monkeys in human form.

The most advanced nations of Europe either converted to protestant ism or atheism (france).

His reason for not including Catholism among the scourages was...?

Catholicism is not egalitarian

It's own holy book gets pretty close with everyone hailing from the same two humans, at least compared to the pre-Catholic Pagan faiths. It is in the very least a stepping stone.

Protestants were mainly upset because they viewed the Church wasn't taking the religion seriously enough. Every time some sect breaks off from another in Christianity its usually to practice an even stricter and more fundamentalist version of the faith (basically the same as Islam, and when the mainstream sects are already super fundamentalist and strict that's why you get ISIS and Al-Qaeda instead of Puritans and Amish).

The protestant view that Christ's sacrifice was the culmination of the work of redemption, and that in light of this, no equivalent priestly role in terms of administering sacrifice is needed.

Scripture alone I have the most difficulty speaking with any eloquence on apart from the general point that it's what is necessary to start your journey. And the believe that it's inspired nature means it's the only physical thing we have that we can rely on being inerrant. Although that does not of course mean that our own interpretation of it is!

Probably the fact that most Western nations are protestants.

They're good at pushing and eating propaganda. See the Black Legends that protties still believe 100%'

>revolt
>cry when rulers handle violence with violence

"Leyenda Negra" is Spanish for "Why doesn't anyone like us?"
