I click that fat-ass green download button and it gets the latest version posted which happens to be for 1.7.10. I click over to the Files tab, first version in the list is the most recently uploaded version, which is for 1.7.

It's trying to place plants on modded soil or sand blocks and fucking up. PMP is a really nice mod but the author is a real shithead about 'muh vision' and won't release his code for people to fix or integrate into other mods, and frequently has tantrums and takes his site down. I really love all the different plants in it and it makes the world seem a lot more alive, if only the creator wasn't such a turd about it.

It seems like it. I also get them in BoP without modification though.

From what I can tell, Highlands doesn't properly tag it's biomes in the biome dictionary, so it has issues with other mods.

I've added rocks (which serve an entirely different function from TFC) and charcoal mounds. That's literally all my mod has in common with TFC. It's primarily a cosmetic mod.

There's really not all that much to tell. Right-clicking boats crash out, right-clicking minecarts crash out, right-clicking any mob crashes out, it's just a mess. Also, it's very clear she has no idea what to do in order to mod Minecraft, since she's still using null checks for ItemStacks in the Great Meme Version 1.12.
There are also bug reports where child mobs can get milked, because she's checking if the PLAYER entity is a child.

...How else would you make a charcoal mound? You pile up a bunch of wood, cover it, and light it on fire. That's how they work.

It's a mod about primitive tools and construction. Most of the blocks are/are going to be different cosmetic materials for building neolithic/early medieval structures. Some of them will have some different processes associated with them, like daubing wattle or setting out bricks to dry in the sun. But, there are a couple issues with the vanilla game that would invalidate a lot of these materials from a gameplay perspective. Why dry bricks and make adobe when you can just mine cobblestone and get planks 30 seconds into a new game? I want to add some config options to make these materials less accessible right out of the gate, to give players a gameplay reason to use the new materials, if that's what they want. That presents new problems, though, since vanilla Minecraft has no way to get grass or leaves, for example, without metal/enchantment. So, I'm adding a few tools. Flint knives for cutting plants, hand axes as a slow way to harvest wooden materials if you really need them for something, things like that. I added a charcoal mound because, as far as I'm aware, there are no mods for 1.7.10 that add them other than TFC, and they fit well enough with the theme of the mod.

Probably. Only issue is, I'm not sure how much there is that's unique to that time period. For the most part, it just seems like it was the same old variations on earthen materials until harder tools became available and proper stone-cutting became more common.

All the big boys during the bronze age used to either paint their builds or place engravings on them (Mesoamerica kinda counts as a bronze age civilization). The materials might not be different but it would be nice to have some prettier variation of the primitive building blocks for palaces, like the temple stone and sandstone.

The cool thing about the bronze ages is that they were really colorful, what we see nowadays is either white marble or just ruins, but things like the roman pillars were usually painted in red.

Indus valley didn't have that outstanding architecture during the bronze age but I recall that they have done some pretty nice palaces, temples and castles, not much that you could add other than b r o w n b r i c k s.
