I remember gunning in Tri being fairly expensive early on, at least solo. I had to hop online with a melee weapon for a couple hunts to get some coin for a full stock of ammo. Once you know monster weaknesses and craft traps and ammo from the environment during a hunt, you can usually take on monsters a lot easier without burning all your ammo and make a lot more profit because of it.

Get red Shield
Get red sword
Get 5 more vials
Go to axe mode waste vials
Go back to sword and repeat
