There's also Overwatch heroes that fundamentally cannot fit into HotS due to dimensional attributes. For example, Pharah and Orisa. How the fug would Orisa's shield work in HotS? Total nonsense.
I also see Symmetra as supremely unlikely, since Teleporter cannot fit into HotS at all.

So, just started trying hanzo out, am I right in thinking that dragonstrike is pretty mediocre and that dragon arrow is one of the best multi purpose ults around?

You are very correct. Dragonstrike is basically something the entire team has to work around and set up for. It's like playing Last Rites to Tormented Souls: it's not fundamentally bad, but everything else about Hanzo plays to Dragon Arrow's strengths.

Basically treat it like Sonya's Leap, without actually going in.

Dragonstrike would be okay if you had teammates that work for it, or maps with tons of terrain in the way (see Cursed Hollow), but it's main problems are the 2s windup time + minimum range.

If you mean passive faggot as in "not faceplanting every enemy hero that steps into your fov," then yes.

If you want a lane bully, take something like Greyman. He has the same AA, doesn't die to a light breeze if you step a bit too far forward, and can finish off the enemy laner if they take a bit too much damage with cocktail on the gate/walls.
