Nobody really. It's mainly a whale thing. However quite a few units get DH bonuses from their 7* form, so there DH stuff is a lot more viable.

Pretty much any 5* attacker. If you're fully kitted out with DH stuff you can get like 1600+ attack. On an actual chainer like Orlandeau, that's a lot.

Nice, looks like you've got quite the little collection going on. I'm fairly new but I'll try my best to give you some advice. The two best jobs you have their are Judge Magister and Balamb Mercenary, both very strong jobs. Lightning's quite good too, but she only works with ranger jobs. JM is a ranger job (one of the best) and BM is a warrior job, so I'd say make two decks, one with Lightning attached to Judge Magister and the other Balamb Mercenary.

Your deck is gonna want one single target damage ability that has the damage focus effect, one aoe (preferably a different element from the first for variety) that has break defense down or critical resist down as its effect and then two support cards. People tend to use Hermes or The Undying as their haste support and then Knights of the Round to boost their stats. Hermes you can get from the Novice Hall and both Undying and KotR are available for purchase in the card shop.

As for which damaging ability cards you should use, I looked up Judge Magister and Balamb Mercenary and unlike, say, SOLDIER 1st Class, they don't tend to favor one element over all the others so just pick whichever two ones you want that have those affects I mentioned. It'd be a good idea to fill out some other deck slots with different elemental loadouts of Lightning/Judge Magister and Balamb Mercenary. Oh, rangers tend to focus on breaking so you might want to pick cards that help with that for your ranger job and maybe just go pure damage for your warrior job (though for both, break defense down and crit resist down on your aoe is good).

The alternate ending was cheesy but I enjoyed Ignis going nuclear.

Units with innate DW don't want DH, nor do units with multiple weapon +attack passives. 2B and A2 are automatically out, but Aileen is a solid DHer.

The math isn't simple and GL math is not the same as JP math, but mostly just finishers and single-character dps team setups. Which may or may not be a thing in the near future.

What bothers me is that Cloud is sort of useless as a friend unit even with 1,600ATK. He's good for newbies that just need ELT carries, but everyone wants chainers as their friend units, not finishers.

Dual-wielders don't change in any way between now and the 7* update. So unless you missed Ayaka and are saving for CG Fina, or are a new fag without the basic building blocks that have been around for like 9 months now, it's OK to plan for the future.

Wait, are you telling me that Olive I pulled recently wasn't a total waste? But on the other hand, then I'd have to use Prompto. Oh well, BE is the game where you use characters you don't want to use anyway.

First off, don't trust anyone who says they know who the best 7* units are this early in the game. There are a lot of them competing and a lot of them do very different things. And very few people who have fully built multiple ones to compare.

But the general buzz about dual hand is all the insanely high innate Equip Attack bonuses going around among 7*s for two-handing. If you can get twice the attack on a two-hander than a dual-wielder, that's an insane amount of more damage. But then you have to compare all the stats against all the different attack bonuses and all the different utility bonuses. General wisdom is that the perfect turbo whale Dualhand build is probably a good deal better than the perfect Dual Wield, but that ideal unit is getting farther and farther out of the realm of the realistic (whereas right now you can come pretty close to perfect with just one 5*base and a bunch of sub-5* TMRs). But as for what will be the more-practical best, only time will tell.

Heh, worked like a damn charm. I spend hundreds upon hundreds of stamina with a full team of five members that are all eligible to drop RMs and nothing. I post one complaint here and two drop the very next run. Happens every time, it's pretty much the only way I can get RMs these days.
