The problem is that people seem to think that the rare blades are suppose to be a 'collect them all' thing, when that was never the case. It was meant to be a way to change the game for multiple playthroughs. You never know what you are going to pull and can't count on certain strategies working. My second playthrough is nothing like my first and for that, I fucking love the system. It does that wonderfully. Does it have problems in the late game when you don't really get shit, sure. But that's only a small aspect of it that you only experience when you can't let go of the idea of that ONE blade that you must absolutely have.

To drop the entire fucking game and whine and demand a refund for it is probably the most childish thing I can imagine.

That was a rare occurrence in that game, but it did have its anime moments. XB2 is more like a caricature of the Xenoblade games.

rare drop rate decreases as you get more rares, so it doesn't matter if Finch is one of the ones that people get early. She's now super rare because she's in the last five. Release some of the rare blades you no longer care about to try to pull her.

XB2 goes overboard with it, though. Character designs are one thing, but when you throw in the stupid expressions and characters talking normally in the middle of a crisis like when they're rushing to get to the head of the Titan so you don't get crushed by the ever increasing pressure. Or when Pyra gets captured by Torna and she's clearly having something done to her, but they stop to talk about retarded shit on the way. Or when they're trying to rush to stop Malos from killing the architect but they stop several times, one of them to have Zeke question what Rex thinks about humans and another to just stand around gawking at the desolate Elysium. All of these moments just have you sitting there wondering if the characters even care about what's happening. Those parts are just inexcusably bad writing.

Man, knowing how birds really work makes me not like Finch. Birds memory is probably one of the best in the whole world. Crows recognize faces of people and even protect ones that have been nice to them. You befriend a murder of crows and they will peck to death someone attacking you.

How did you get the opposite from those examples? There's nothing fucking reason for those events to happen in those situations. Especially when the space station is falling apart and they all tell Rex that they need to go, but they all sit there while he continues to fuck around. Shit is blowing up around them and they are all just standing around like "na, we got time" all for the sake of dramatic storytelling. They could have at least sent someone to check on the escape pods to get them ready. It's bad writing. All of it.

I wish more attacks could break that stupid blade shield. Hate bouncing when they hit max affinity. Almost no way to actually prevent that either. I wish you could inflict stench so you could get enemy blades to run away and break the link.

Any character is end game viable. So it really doesn't matter who gets what blades. It only matters if you want to pigeon hole them in a certain role. That's why I find it funny that people worry about who they roll on, when the game throws you story and side quest blades that are more useful then most randoms, save Zenboria and Kos-mos.

The meta way of playing is rolling literally everything on Zeke besides Theory's core crystal, which is for Morag, and hoping that he gets Zenobia and Kos-Mos
