Pick a hero that can last hit, push and harass with spells. You can also just buy stats so you don't take as much damage from the laser. If you're able to trade with tinker a lot you're probably going to win the lane. He doesn't deal with pressure easily.

Specifically Medusa, TA and Lina are a few heroes that wreck Tinker.

ive seen people beat him with sf pretty hard but you have to be pretty good and dont jew on regen (bring yourself 2 flasks with courier or some tangoes)

The issue with SF is that if you don't straight up win the lane and force Tinker out, he gets so much damage from his levels that you can't even try to trade with him. You just die. So you have to be super aggro. I think Tinker has the advantage in that lane really.

sf is one of THE worst laners against tinker! he pushes you into burst treshhold laughably easy, and his lvl 1 is just so much stronger than your lvl 1 its not even funny
sure, you can burst the wave down at lvl 5 and go jungle instead, but by that time you will be soned, killed, and tinker will be lvl 7/8, already getting his levels in march and farming towards an early BoT, snowballing pre 10 min
