ONE OF US!

Guys, what do we think they'll show next Thursday?

same thing they show every thursday, pinky. nothing

...

how come some random early access tripe looks better than star citizen?

...

gib (You)s
youtube.com/watch?v=upXU_3ZyWkc

dank fidget spinner you got there
where to cop?

>VERY niche coffin stealing CC#s at incredibly hihg speed

this looks like nonsensical garbage though

You don't think giant fidget spinners on your ship look good?

you must be joking
is this 3.0 or some random teaser from CIG? there's been such a glut of new shit casually added now getting mixed with all the Coming Soon!™ shit out there that it's hard to keep track of what's currently 'real'

It's an NPC skin in the latest build I believe. Not the correct model.

>four minutes in
>still ranting about his channel and people talking shit
skip it

...

The Cutlass will be the most common ship in game right? Nothing else offers that kind of price to performance, with the ability to hold a lot of cargo and ground transport.

>8 minutes of meta-channel ranting and claiming victim status
>Rest of video spent on rampant speculation and rehashing of already discussed to death points
yeah no

Most common of that tier, yes. Most common is definitely going to be Aurora.

everyone will upgrade to a cutlass after 1 hour of playtime

What a whinny little bitch.

I like it. Can't wait for custom skins to be a thing.

They're gonna be everywhere. Lore or not, it's a solid ship for a good price point.

that's basically it's lore background. one of the few that matches up with their intent for it.

Something that we don't get to play for a very long time.

When did you realise that the Redeemer is actually best shipfu?

Long time ago, but shitposters in this thread want to keep the number of bestships down so spread anti-redeemer propaganda.

Redeemer is BEST ship

No reason this ship hasn't been reworked yet, aside from shitting out new ships for more money.

>he thinks they need more than a concept to sell new ships

pipeline is after the jewing

Cutlass is a fucking memeship that all the poorfag scrubs n nubs will fly

I like it, it just needs to hurry the fuck up and get flyable.

Wow, a post almost entirely composed of meaningless buzzwords.

>cheap
>effective
>respectable amount of storage space
>memeship

Even if it is super common, it'll be a lot less of a meme then using some garbage ship like a Retaliator.

Around the time when this image started circulating.

...Huh?

>entry level multicrew
>has a manned turret on top
>dropship doors on either side
>utility ramp at the back
>beds for 2
>plenty of cargo space for a single man operation
>don't need to shell out for an escort like you will with the caterpillar or larger
>will likely be used for almost every single operation involving large scale orgs

I've never met a man who hated swiss army knives, guess you'll be the first.

they made a pelican and warthog?

I think it looks more like a puma.

Chupathingy, got a nice ring to it

>take military transport contract for enemy org
>land
>open troop ramp
>"gogogo!"
>wait 90 seconds for out of chair animations to play
>inner thought > deploy rover
>thicc URSA falls and crushes them all as they're leaving the ship
>loot all of their expensive voyager direct guns
>reattach rover and head back to ArcCorp for another contract
>mfw

...

DELETE THIS!

...

>that SC video @55 seconds, guy walking in place

fuckin savage

woah...

...

>this thread
Looks like derek has noithing to do on a saturday night.

I guess when you're bankrupt and the wolves are at your door demanding the mortgage be paid, that's not surprising.

?

Just posting some SC content. Don't have any ED any more.

Replace the passenger area with cargo and it's literally my dream ship

The civilianized aegis freelancer I've always wanted

but its stuck in design hell

My wife Polaris-Chan would like to have a word with you

>Mfw the polaris gets sized bumped
>Mfw it fits the Redemitry in it's hangar
Maximum tac-ops
I didn't have a good image for what I imagined

>Comprehensive look at the current state of Star Citizen
meh, looks pretty but still doesn't look like much more than a tech demo

VISION or vision of fuck all, how did it ever get to this state.

Damn, General is dead as fuck.
did everyone got bored with 3.0 ?

I'm really liking it, but combat is ass and performance makes actually playing it more of a pain than it's worth

Being a space plumber is fun tho

Is atmospheric flight feeling pretty horrible for anyone else? I've only tried it with the Raven so far, but moving at more than ~60% of the max safe speed results in ridiculous amounts of noise and it seems to be incapable of flying in a straight line. Not only that, but they also got rid of the mouse deadzone pretty much entirely.

Its a little wonky, even for aerodynamic ships which is a shame. I've noticed the mouse deadzone is still present though, at least when flying the Vanguard.

And so I said, "If you have a ship that can carry a tank, why not put guns on the ship and use it instead?"
It's not a game yet. 3.0 is still a tech demo. Even with all the new shit they added, it's only ankle deep. You will play all the content in a few hours and the real time you spend playing will be hashing the same handful of missions over and over and over with no progression or goals. I don't know why people think it will be anything more than this.
It's literally not playable atm. Whatever CIG is trying to fix is just breaking everything else as they focus on these "performance" patches that perform worse than the game ever did before.
It's wildly different per ship, per patch. I've flown the Bucc max cruise speed just above Yela, and had it basically knock me out of the sky when I tried it again in a recent patch. Everything was fine until I went above the "safe" speed and it rolled me on my back and slammed into the ground with no damage.

Looks good.

Man the sabre's rear is really sexy

I wish it would get a design pass that would increase the wing size and make the front a little less busy looking

Can I already play 3.0 if I "pledge" money to help Chris to escape the law?

yes, buy their subscription bs

but real talk you arent missing much, its hard to play and probably going live in a week or two anyways

>you arent missing much
THIS. if you really queries, than just watch videos on youtube. you ain't missing much.

Buying ship parts with aUEC is missing much. Moon landings are pretty cool too. The content is a lot. But it's unplayable without a high end PC.

>The content is a lot
user, pls. >You will play all the content in a few hours and the real time you spend playing will be hashing the same handful of missions over and over and over with no progression or goals. I don't know why people think it will be anything more than this.

Can you actually buy ship parts? I've seen them in 3.0 but there's no actual stats or information on what you are buying

Also don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the moonlandings and non combat missions (Combat is seriously garbage right now) its just buggy and not optimized

Like lets give a worst case scenario of a mission (which happens kind of frequently

>Join server
>frames are awful, cpu spikes
>join new server
>better
>Accept mission
>spawn cutlass
>cutlass is missing weapons/doors
>insurance claim
>spawn vanguard
>manage to take off
>fiddle with the mobiglass instantly closing for a bit
>manage to set destination
>Get stuck trying to warp
>get out of ship
>eva back to ollisar
>spawn cutlass now
>get in take off warp
>grab cargo
>Freeze, maybe crash?
>No CPU spike wew
>struggle to drop cargo in your ship a bit
>take off
>disconnect

I genuinely like what's there, it's just incredibly difficult to access

Wow, I like that ship.
I wonder how many small ships you could fit inside.

Speaking of small ships, I'm out of the loop but I remember the constellation could have this really tiny fighter. Are there any other really tiny ships?

>I wonder how many small ships you could fit inside.
Just one.

You can buy ship parts at dumper's depot in olisar. You don't really get stats for the parts, but if you go to the customization in arena commander you can put whichever parts you want on your ship and it gives a kind of vague description like "the aegis power supply is good for combat maneuvering and etc..." I don't actually remember exactly, but something along those lines.

Do some servers actually have better FPS? Because I'd love to try getting on one if that's the case. The best I've had is maybe 10. My CPU isn't great, but it runs 2.6 pretty well and I've been wondering if I absolutely need to upgrade it to play minimum.

If you get a fresh server you, or rather I can get like 50 FPS

I'm on an i5 6600 with gtx 970 and 16gb of ram, not exactly a powerhouse

I'm sure you could ram 5-6 in there if you tried. With the state of the game, they might fall out though.

I feel you could squeeze another in there.
Although you need room for cargo I guess.

What resolution do you play at? I get 50 FPS on 3570k 970 at 1440p. No doubt I'll be upgrading soon. Not for this game of course.

or a lot of snubs

POCKET CARRIER

how many could it fit?
3-5?
maybe like 10 bikes if you want to?

SO, what’s exactly going on with the 3.0 combat ? It feels like I’m hitting the target. but they don’t seems to take any damages. it takes to much times to kill something

Shit load of bikes because of how tiny they are. Maybe 4 of the m50s if you jam them in there.

It looks like you could fit about 3 sets of ships going vertically, and depending on the sizes, 2 or 3 across the floor. As long as they don't get blown up by stacking on one another, you could fit quite a few.

>Stacking
You should never do this. You won't be able to access them.

You'd have to take out the top one first. But you'd use it like a carrier, and have crew members for each ship. Imagine seeing one of those things, planning to go loot its cargo, and then get swarmed by a bunch of mustangs or snubs.

>You'd have to take out the top one first
But I'm saying, you can't access it. It's not like you can jet pack up to the ship.

1440p as well

If they're flat enough, couldn't you put them on a rack. belly to belly? Maybe have the whole thing pivot up when the doors open. Like a huge missile launcher?

All I want for the Polaris is for it to be able to fit a Redeemer or Vanguard inside of it. The ship will be considerably more useful as a small group gunboat if you can outfit it with a drop ship.

I thought it was supposed to have all these missions available as well? How about dogfighting other people too? I have great machine so I expect between 15-30fps of performance :DDDDDDD

Why not a tiny dropship? Like thst utility shuttle but with a rack of seats on the outside. Armoured from above and below but open to the elements otherwise. Like a space hue with the side doors removed.

>Even with all the new shit they added, it's only ankle deep.
>I don't know why people think it will be anything more than this.
Man, I think it has something to do with the fact that the game is years late already. If it's only ankle deep we ain't looking at having a game for what, another decade?

2022 is probably realistic release date. But issue is how they are going to stay afloat until that. The whole project is so wrong on so many levels because of Chris' incompetence. They have been working on tons of stuff but he has the idea that scrapping work and start from scratch is a-okay. What a fucking cretin.

Dogfighting is legit better in 2.6, missions are fun if you can dodge bugs, crashes, and dcs long enough to do them.

>scrapping work and start from scratch is a-okay
Do you even comprehend how many projects do this? We have shit loads of interviews with developers describing aspects of their games that they've had to completely redo because something didn't feel right or just didn't work. That's unfortunately an aspect of game development.

zero. zero succesful projects do this. scrapping work always leads to disaster. and that's if you do it once. when you start doing it regularly you get duke nukem.

okay guys i just finished my exams and im about to no life some star citizen for the next 100 or so hours. i only have a mustang alpha but, assuming its still possible, i was going to play some SQ42 to acquire some REC and play with some new stuff. can i get REC from star marine? do i still spend my REC on the RSI website, and thats where i adjust my ships loadout or even rent a different ship? its been like 6 months since ive actually played. any new missions? does my payout and mission progess save? what major differences are there in being a criminal or a outstanding citizen?

What kind of ship do you think is missing from the game? Bomber? Scout?

>Zero successful projects do this
Lurk or leave newfag. Nintendo especially does this.

Bomber is covered

Retaliator, Eclipes, Harbinger, Gladiator, Freelancer MIS

Scout, I guess terrapin, Raven, herald somewhat?

I just meant those as examples.

They seem pretty well represented.
I'd love a sleek and pointy SR-71 style scout though.

nintendo usually has several different projects in the pipe and cut their losses on the shit ones like any sensible publisher. CIG is not comparable.
