I hate this piece of shit "game" just as much as you do but remember just a few years ago SL was also the boombastic top notch mainstream thing and you'd probably be saying "SL is so much better than x" but unlike other shit it managed to keep things up more or less even if only a select few communities rather than plummet down.

Pretty much the reason it gets shilled so hard is because it probably doesn't have much use in the hands of casual users after awhile. I can create things for any engine, but that is what I'd spend my time on.
