Infinite already isn't popular, and if he didn't have it at his tournament people would have been pissed off, but it's his venue and he can do whatever he wants. When you smear a game for months, lie about its viewership, and basically use the whole thing as a smokescreen to get the game kicked out of Evo, you come out looking like a pussy.

short games, don't have to find teammates, can grind training mode while multitasking, games feel more fair than other multiplayers, except maybe shooters
I still play some single player games, but I like fighting games because it's 1v1 unlike the other popular multiplayer games that stick you with 4-5 randoms that dictate more of the game's outcome than individual skill unless you're a god. I also like Quake/arena fps but that's even less popular than fighting games, not sure how QC is going to be.

So assuming Mr. Fat Wizard isn't bullshitting and we are actually only getting 7 main games at Evo 2018, what games do you think will make it?
1 Street Fighter 5 (for obvious reason)
2 Tekken 7 (it's pretty much as popular as SF5 now, maybe even more)
3 Smash Melee or 4 (I doubt that we'll be getting two Smash games at Evo 2018)
4 Guilty Gear Xrd (it has had pretty good attendance every time it's at Evo, so I'm confident it'll make it again)
5 Dragon Ball Fighter Z (unless it turns out to be utter shit, which is unlikely)
6 and 7 are a bit of a toss-up. If Soul Calibur comes out in early 2018, then it'll definitely secure 6th spot. Otherwise, the rest that are left are Blazblue Central Fiction, BlazBlue Cross Tag and Injustice. One game I'm confident will not make it is Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. Its performance has been way too poor this past year in tournament circuits to make it.
It's great. If you pick it up play best girl tracer or moira if you want to play support.
No bullshit relying on teammates or corralling people to play a game. Every mistake is my fault, every victory is my fault. I can measure my progress and improvement by beating stronger people. For competition there's really not much better, and there really aren't many good games out nowadays anyway. I feel like I've played my share of team based competitive multiplayer games or shooters. This is like the final stage.
