Daily reminder that the entire country of Erusea was embarrassed by a single plane and there's nothing you can do about it.
Luis Morris
Second for thicc planefu
Parker Martinez
Well, whoever fly that plane is retired by the time Osean-Erusean conflict begins
Robert Smith
Waiting on one more drawing IIRC. Sorry no update for now.
Rules as usual >plane flies from left to right >see if you can't make it into a "pose" that fits the current state of the collage (preferrably at the rear as it is easier to add more planes there) >black and white/lineart only >fun is allowed >no drawing skill required
It's a shame that we'll never get to see OLDS up close

are they seriously not even bother to finish the story?
Camden Perez
Yeah, I wish they'd make one final emergency raid or just one mission for the campaign to bring the conflict to a conclusion.

Just finished AC Joint Assault on PSP.
First of all I wish it was ported to Vita. I mean, it was but they took it off PSN around the time AC6 came out due to some drama or something I think.
I would've loved AC games on the Vita.
I giggled like crazy playing a real AC game on a handheld like that though, that being said it wasn't Strangereal (which I knew) but I did enjoy it.. at first.
The longer it went on the more annoying it got climaxing with a fucking bullshit final boss battle.
Also the storyline is literally fucking retarded.
But yeah, it was okay. Now I can play Ace Combat Skies of Deception but I need a break. Kinda forced myself to finish AC:JA
Parker Ross
ACJA > ACX
Colton Nguyen
Story is alright from what I remember tbqh. It would fit some Neucom/GR shenanigans or similar in strangereal.
That said Sulejmani is the only bullshit I remember oddly slow physics excluded, and only his last phase, if it ended at the MG I think he would be alright. It just drags on too long and it's unclear what you're supposed to do on the final stage to hit him. The rest is just a boss rush.
Those are my thoughts on it anyway
David Howard
JA is really a mixedbag, some things are good but other like the storyline, Suljemani and some missions like the chopper escort missions or the nuclear one are terrible. It warrants bonus points solely for the baseball bat of doom cannon, that one was the greatest exemplar of belkan-tier engineering.
X is much different and actually good though, so rest assured, wasn't it for the PSP limitations it would've been a masterpiece.
"Hey, I have an idea. Let's burn down the world for the insurance money."
It was dumb as shit. Middle School level writing and characters.
Evan Garcia
So whatever happened to that arcade thing at the mall someone was going to check out?
Liam Moore
What happened? I haven't been around in awhile.
We have some shitty flight sim game at our local Arcade in our mall but it turns out it was some trashy rail shooter that blows wind in your face.
Which is a damn shame because a REAL fighter jet arcade game would be sick. And if the Japanese make them it would certainly have IC cards to save your progress and stuff.
Nolan Lopez
Either Dornie or someone of the other spaniards, I think, got word from one of their friends that they had what might be an AC7 display at their mall or something.
Speculation was that it was probably just some arcade cabinet of something or perhaps some other flying game.
>arcade Well at least you got one, I haven't seen one around here ever. Only ever in France on holidays. I remember some Metal Slug 3 ones and those Jurassic Park shooters.
Fun stuff.
Zachary Morales
Probably Mach Storm
Noah Watson
>Mach Storm
That's it. That's the game I was thinking of that we have at our arcade. It even has "USS Kstrl" written on it which got me so fucking hype but I got inside and it's just a really, really shitty rail shooter.
Our arcade is sick. It's got all the Japanese cabinets, music games and stuff like Initial D and Crossbeats. I go like every other week.
I have the one for 3DS left, Ace Combat Deception on PSP and one of the Ace Combat on PS1 (I think it's Electrosphere, can't remember)as
I'm kinda sad AC7 isn't being hyped up. I pre-ordered it but like, no midnight launch or anything which I know would never happen but I would wait in line to pick it up. There isn't even a special edition to buy.
Ryan Thompson
Just in case anyone missed it, in the last threat I posted about AC:I being shut down in January.
What the hell
Carter Lee
March 2018, not January.
Mason Wilson
>Okami has an LCD mode Does this mean I can just get a PS2 copy instead of the steam one?
>Initial D I imagine those games are fun on a cabinet, but ultimately Ridge Racer had the drifting down way better. I could never get far on Street Stage.
ACX is pretty good. For AC3 make sure to play the translated version to get the full experience.
Kayden Watson
I remember visiting an arcade center located at the downtown area of the region I was living in. It had Air Combat 22 and Sky Target. Had some fun playing both games. I was just a little snot back then and didn't realize that Air Combat 22 was part of Ace Combat franchise. Still, I recall finishing the Cadet mode with the F-14 and boy, sitting in the cabinet made to look almost like an actual cockpit kinda gave me the immersion. Too bad the arcade is no more. I really miss those times.
Robert Hughes
Regarding ACAHL, if you are emulating it, check both the Canary (experimental) and Nightly builds. If both black screen after the mission loading splash screen or you get an unsteady performance, check the Chinese builds (look for the unofficial builds thread on GBATempt). I'll be doing a substantial upgrade from my current setup and running some performance testing on an actual gaming rig, but if your computer specs are close to a i5-5200U, GeForce 840M 2GB, 8GB DRR3 RAM setup, you can expect 12 FPS out of 30 ingame, 30 in hangar and 20 during briefings.
Asher Powell
That means we still don't hear the BGM, does it?
Blake Peterson
I actually failed to take note of that. Doesn't work. SFX work fine, but the bgm and the audio for the cutscene that plays if you stay idle on the title screen don't play yet.
Nolan Foster
>Picked up Airforce Delta Strike on PS2 because you guys mentioned it and it does seem the closest thing to an Ace Combat Clone I can play with my current consoles >boot it up and play for an hour Holy shit, holy goddamn shit it's a budget knock off Ace Combat with more anime. It's weird and not great but fuck it, I'm kinda charmed and want to see it through. The music's not bad at least. Those default controls though, holy fuck I wanted to vomit.
Connor Brooks
That character artwork is something Was there any way around that analog throttle? I was never good with those in arcade games.
Andrew Howard
Nah, it seems a permanent thing. Which is what tripped me up the most once I got the buttons laid out, been forever since I used throttle type. Still though I'm impressed they allow for complete controller mapping.
Isaiah Morales
They did? I guess I never bothered with it long enough to figure that out. I wish Secret Weapons had that. It uses that throttle and yaw on the right stick thing which I'm not the biggest fan of.
Dylan Robinson

Post nice things. Also, do you prefer mountain or urban environments?
Luke Morales
>taxiing the plane through town in a car chase I'd forgotten that was part of this show
Mountains they are comfy to fly around. But the same can be said of night time urban stuff, so I'm hoping for both.
Dominic Phillips
...
Carter Barnes
I love me some mountain maps. Although, speaking of urban maps, it'd be really cool to fly around in a fuckhuge metropolis, like Coruscant, for example. A city like that will probably never happen, but it'd still be cool.
Oliver Clark
>Although, speaking of urban maps, it'd be really cool to fly around in a fuckhuge metropolis, like Coruscant, for example. A city like that will probably never happen, but it'd still be cool.
Go watch Star Citizen's videos from the last con they did, where they show of procedural generation of planetcities and fly around in one.
Aiden Davis
But I don’t want to wait until 2030
Carter Wilson
>ywn start a dogfight in your shipfu above Coruscant >ywn fight your way further down as the fight goes on >ywn have to avoid traffic around the skyscrapers >ywn eventually end up fighting through the lower levels in tight corridors
>2030 I see you are being optimistic
Andrew Wright
Well, 2030 for the first implementations at least.
Gavin Harris
So I forgot, what's the record on game development time to beat as is?
I'm still just waiting for SQ42
Justin Sanchez
Fifteen years I think, for Duke Nukem. Star Cutizen will easily surpass that if Roberts can’t contain his autism. Or unless the lawsuit kills it
SQ42 news soon though
Luke Nelson
>Roberts' autism Yeah that is going to keep this thing in devleopment forever. Oh well, at least we got a racetrack out of it.
>soon Let's hope there's been some actual progress.
Liam Adams
Unreal World, 26 years before it got to a paid release, followed by Duke Nukem Forever, 15 years.
Gabriel Baker
Yeah, the 3.0 PTU is riddled with bugs, and few people like the direction ships are taking, and there’s still not even one system out of 100+ implemented.
But hey, they invented a new language, so that makes it all worthwhile, right?
Noah Hill
>few people like the direction ships are taking
That sounds like bullshit to me, every time a new ship is shown people buy it in droves. Why would they do that if they didnt like the directiont heyre going in?
Christopher Diaz
I’m exaggerating a little bit, but I’ve seen a lot of people bitching. Especially about turret autism and pocket carriers. Or maybe that’s just me being super salty
Landon Lewis
>new language Sure, why not at this point
Well damn now I want to watch SW again. I might do that after whatever TLJ does when I see it tomorrow
Probably more about the /scg/ lot. At least a year or two ago they weren't all that enthusiastic anymore and I remember there were some complaints about the designs. But I haven't visited in ages.
Jaxon Wood
>new language As in conlang or programmation language?
Leo Cooper
ConLang
Nicholas Phillips
Nice, I guess. Is there any document about it or are they keeping it under wraps for the time being? (Not an SC player)
David Butler
Nah, they’ve got some huge pseudo-textbook thing about it. Supposedly there are people working on learning it, but I doubt anyone is going to stick with it. Yet there’s people going on about how there shouldn’t be any autotranslate in the game and you should have to hire a translator to do anything.
Dominic Nguyen
Speaking of shipfus, post yours, buddies.
Ryder Peterson
>pseudo-textbook Is that going to get a public release anytime? Just to have a look at it. >no autotranslation This kills conlangs better than pushig for them to be universal. But then I remember what I've heard about the SC community and it seems to follow logically.
Nathaniel Foster
>no autotranslate This is reaching forumdad autism levels now
Well if I have to narrow it down from that picture then the N-1
Nicholas Flores
Star Wars only?
Ryder Ramirez
Always and forever.
Lincoln Myers

>tfw this is the best pic I could find of the Basrogrh

Anyone know if AC 7 will have co-op? I never had a PS3 so I missed the Infinity train

As far as I can recall they did say they were planning a very "expansive" multiplayer component to the game.
