After defeating Sphinx at lvl 28 with an average of 3 mastered classes I grinded like a madman to do LoC instead of starting part 2 content. Now my party is level 45-48 with around 10 classes mastered. I probably completely ruined the flow of the game for myself.

Assuming you're playing at Hell or higher, Level 45 is still good for the mid portions of Part 2.
