What exactly is there to like about this community? Most people aren't exactly friendly or pleasant, either IC or OOC. Veeky Forums died when admins put protecting a very small core group of players, largely filled with assinine and bitter neets, over promoting a healthy server community.
I am now finding myself in games with 3 to 4 players, I didn't have that problem two years ago in the same timeslots. I understand kicking out real griefing shitlords, but we have autists on our server who think that not doing chemistry properly or fucking up the AME cores is grounds for "putting up the bunker" and shielding us from the noobs.
Bravo, a grand circlejerk of 90% the same statics no matter what time I come online in their little safespace server protected from anything new or strange by a team of admins who share a similair problem of neetdom. (honestly, who on the admin team actually has a job or attempting to get one?)

generally killing someone for stripping you and then leaving you isn't good escalation, but it was somewhat warranted because of the situation, which is why it ended up in only a

Usually in this game, when someone in a Gasmask comes up to you, slams you on a table and start stealing your oxygen, you're about to get bit/succed/slashed or whatever comes next.

I never say the bunker is the reason for all problems. It is the community, a community that comes up with an idea as daft as "the bunker". As a whole this community is horrible to play with as someone new, it has a very stinky "sekrit club" vibe. Instead of finding ways of getting new players to adapt properly and play properly on our server, we would rather discourage any new blood at all, and that has had the disheartening effect of diminishing the amount of players outside of the same static players who run the same stale gimmick every day of the week.

Mind you, that sort of vehement opposition to anything new or change is a classical sign of major fucking autism.

No, they are worse. They are competent at the game, but are shit because they powergame, they are unpleasant to be around, they get nasty the moment something doesn't go their way (assuming they weren't already beforehand), they banbait, they validhunt. Overal they have played the game for so long they have found the exact line where they are still technically within the bounds of all the various rules, but for all intents and purposes make the game unenjoyable for anyone near them, completely defeating and undermining the point of a game that thrives on social dynamics.

I am looking at the science players building themselves their toys without printing so much as a beaker for someone without telling them to get lost. The engineer autists who build the same dumb SMES projects round in round out, but when asked to fix a breach will direct you to the escape shuttle instead. The medbay players with the an entire chemdispensers supply worth of chloral in their backpacks who will use it on anyone coming through the doors to then disposal them. Or in short our static shitters who are not playing the game as is, but are doing everything in their might to play their little autistic minigames in peace. They are not helpful, they are not pleasant, they are not fun. Truth be told they would do everyone, including themselves, a favour by playing an offline version of the game (or deri mommis)

You don't ask Reica anything, Reica is roleplays "autistically rude". If you find yourself in their hands, go make yourself a cup of tea while they treat you "the right way" instead of just speedcloning you.

It is really quite simple, they don't care about your experience. They want to do all the various medbay treatments, your enjoyment of the round be damned. You having a popped lung and popping dex the last 10 minutes of a round before the shuttle arrives might allow you to continue playing, but it denies them the surgery. So in goes the chloral and onto the table you go.
They don't care about potentially putting a damper on your round with a 10 minute "you can almost hear someone talk." medbay experience. Don't try to put a damper on their experience though, you'll get chloral up your ass (honestly, I wonder if you look at loggs if Reica has more chloral production than al other medbay players combined).

So in short, they aren't fun, nor will they enhance your experience of the game, What they will do is give you an experience no antag is capable of. Kudos for that one Reica, you have truly mastered the nonantag antag role.

In all honesty I would have been tricked by your post a year or so ago and believed it was all memes and that Reica "dindu nuffin". But week in week out their shittery gets posted in the thread (and believe it or not, those posts aren't all mine) and I have first hand experienced their shittery (and I play random name/body/role, so it isn't even like they are grudging me).

Sometimes their shittery is really subtle mind you. Get brought to medbay in crit, rather than killing and speedcloning like anyone else, I get to experience the lengthy multipart surgery followed by scans, blood being pumped back in etc..
