Chloe is #1

Friendly reminder that once again you'll be reborn, reborn, reborn.

Hell yeah!

NO EMOJI!

Wasn't this the ending song?

Fuck

Kate is not #1

I always knew Eliot was a creep. I wish they made that scene darker though - like attempted rape or something weird.

>Goodbye Max

Before Episode 5's release:
>Lol Mari's theories're shitty. It's way more than shitty to become true
>Chloe has to die thing doesn't make sense.Don't worry they will come with unpredictable story
>We're gonna learn everything about Max's powers,Rachel and Prescotts even Nathan, spirit animals..
>Jefferson knows about Max's powers
>Nathan,Frank,David or Samuel's gonna save us
>Victoria's with Max,she'll save her
>(After seeing Cemetery scene from leaks) I'm sure it'll be Williams,Rachel's or Kate's grave.
>Rachel's the doe and Butterfly and probably we'll see her in Max's dream
>Blue Jay's Chloe

After Episode 5's release:
>Mari's shitty cliche theory became right
>We visited the SF art gallery for 3 seconds. FOR 3 DAMN SECONDS
>Jefferson became a silly bad guy from Disney
>David came to save us.He's a former-soldier but he can't even fight, just listens teenager's orders. Even he doesn't know she has some time travel powers.
>Victoria's with us in the dark room.Laying there and we can talk her or not.Just it.
>Nathan get killed,Victoria too
>Nathan knew something about the storm but they cut it.
>Warren explained Max's powers(!)(thanks warryn) We found out her power causes/related with Chaos Theory and storm. It's not like we didn't know or something.
>Storm is only coming for Bay because Chloe lives in there but Max's the one who keep changes the time
>Prescotts story erased.Nobody even mention their name.
>Rachel's story fucked too.She isn't or butterfly,bluejay just spiritualdoe
>Spirit animals thing died.Blue Butterfly's storm summoner just it.
>Chloe dies again in one of endings (unpredictable) It gives you a lesson: You shouldn't have used your power. And you shouldn't play this game. Now erase your choices and cry like a bitch.
>The other ending's short but it's less cliché than other. We saved Chloe, storm's hit the town and gone. That's it
>So, once again we got the fact that our ending always will be BAE>Bay

>Fucking leaks! I'm outta he- Wait? It's over?

I was going more for the hair dyeing scene.

>I don't think Chloe will ever feel for Max the way she felt for Rachel
No way, I approve of Chloe and Rachel's relationship, but Max went above and beyond anything Rachel ever did to show how much she cared about Chloe, and was never dishonest or secretive with her for a minute.
I'm 100% certain Chloe reciprocated such feelings for Max by the end of their week together

>Rachel's bracelet can be given to Sera but Frank somehow gets a hold of it by the first game
That is actually the reason why I didnt ask for the bracelet. I couldnt rap my head around how Frank would get it if Chloe had it.

Always kiss the Price

that scene in the bedroom was such a pure act of love

As Max and Chloe are leaving the ruins of Arcadia Bay behind, there's one more tragic story unfolding
>Alice and Lisa stuck in Max's room, Alice hasn't eaten anything in days, the dorms are destroyed and no one comes looking for them
>"No one's gonna come save us, this is the end, we'll starve to death..."
>Alice...you can survive this and go back to your owner. All you have to do is... all you have to do is eat me."
>"What? No, fuck that. Lisa, you're my number one priority, I'm not eating you!"
>"Alice, think about it... how many times this week did you try to nibble my leafs? I'm a plant, Alice, you're a bunny, maybe it's time I accept my destiny... OUR destiny."
>"Lisa, I can't make this choice!"
>"No Alice, you're the only one who can"

>eat Lisa
instaud.io/kVV

>eat your own foot
instaud.io/kWb

She'll never find another person to compare to Rachel

>Welcome home Max

just because someone does something for you doesn't mean you can force yourself to feel anything specific towards them, Warrenette
And stop forgetting how Max brings upon an apocalypse on everything that Chloe has left.

Episode 1: Sera sees the girls at the Overlook, she could have easily called out to them, but doesn't.

Episode 2: Sera is face-to-face with Chloe, who she has seen with Rachel, but says nothing to her. She then follows the girls around for the part of the episode and seemingly has the chance to stop them for a chat, but doesn't.

Episode 3: We learn that Sera has been trying desperately to meet with Rachel.

This doesn't add up. She had several chances to run up to the girls throughout the game, but didn't?

Rachel never hurt Chloe like Max did. Even finding out the truth in s1 chloe was still devastated because Rachel was her soulmate. She might date other people after but she'll always compare them to those 3 years with rachel

Jesus Christ, Chloe. Shots fired.

...

Except that not what happened. They were just shocked to see each other
This is what Chloe will think whenever she's with Max

This is cute!

They both helped Chloe in immense ways and that cannot be ignored or belittled. Though by the end of everything Max has clearly shown she's grown up in many ways and has become a much better friend to Chloe. They've both shown their love for each other and are set for a future together. Even though that future will also include tough moments where one has to pull the other back up.

She'll also never find another person to compare to Max.
Stop trying to act like it's all a competition and Chloe only has room in her heart for one. Rachel & Chloe happened, but it was the past. A past that will never be forgotten.
Max & Chloe is the future. A future that will never be viewed as second place or something lesser than what *could be*.

There is so much shit that doesn't add up with this episode that it almost rivals Polarized. I mean, at least with Polarized there was no precedent though, with Hell Is Empty it's like they looked at all of DONTNOD's worst mistakes and tried their best to emulate them, and...somehow still failed?

Yeah, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around this.

These girls deserve hella better

Fuck! ;_;
That anons analysis last thread about how Chloe was trying to get away but she acquiesces with a look and a kiss from Rachel is heartbreaking. She really did love Rachel more than she could ever love anyone else

Oh fuck off already. Moving to Seattle was never Max's choice. She's in no position to dictate to her parents where they live.

They rewrote that shit.
I'm beginning to think with the dissonance between certain outcomes and the state of S1 there actually was a special ending where they both escaped

>21st century
>age of connectivity
>not one effort to connect with Chloe
Sad thing is, Chloe probably never would've spiralled out if Max stayed in contact and helped her get over William and so she never would've met rachel

This is what happens. They are both shocked and there is some hesitation and bitterness at first, but it disappears quickly. By the end of Episode 2, Chloe knows she can fully trust Max again and they both know they're not going to split apart again. You're 100% delusional if you think Chloe would never forgive Max or *always* think of Rachel when with Max.
That's taking your ship and making it a ball and chain Chloe has to carry around for the resy of her life.

Questions I have:

What the fuck happened to the intimacy counter?
What the fuck happened to our choice of where Chloe and Rachel run of to mattering?
What the fuck happened to "The Tempest" having a bigger meaning in the story?
What the fuck was the point of all the fire symbolism?
What the fuck happened to us finding out why "Rachel turned out the way she did?", or are we just supposed to assume because her mother was a drug addict, even though she can theoretically never meet her, influenced her somehow?

I feel like I'm on Punk'd right now.

I'm not saying they don't become best friends. I'm not even saying they wouldn't date. But seeing what Rachel did for Chloe And how Chloe felt about her is pretty telling

Cut. All of those things got fucking cut

>Being anti social to your friend is now a cardinal sin compared to
>cheating on your gf with your teacher and his psycho jock
>cheating on your drug dealer friend
>planning to run away with at least one of them
Amberfag logic everyone

This Gaberoid guy has some lovely Pricefield artwork on his Tumblr.

>We will fly beyond this isle! The corners of the world our mere prologue!
>has a ride
>has 12k+ doesn't fucking leave

I don't think Max staying in Arcadia Bay or even staying in contact with Chloe would have changed all that much overall. Max abandoning her definitely made things worse and caused another pain in Chloe, but even with Max, Chloe's home situation would still become bad. Chloe would still be stuck trying to find out stuff like who she was sexually, what she wanted out of life, trying to have fun, and living out rebellious fantasies. Some of that stuff was outside of Max's influence and in ways it needed to be someone like Rachel for those things to happen.

Chloe's failures are her own damn fault. She chose to neglect her studies and drop out. She chose to pursue self-destructive get-rich-quick schemes instead of finding a stable job. She chose to associate with criminals and get herself into debt. Trying to pin those failings on Max is utter cowardice.

Everything is Max's fault, didn't you know? She's the reason William and Bongo are dead. She's literally Gaunter O'Dimm.

Everyone knew Chloe loved Rachel, and part of her always would. Once Chloe starts learning the truth about Rachel then you see a shift in the way she speaks.
I don't get what point your trying to make. Max and Chloe can be together but it will always be marred by what Chloe once felt for Rachel?

And if she had max supporting her she might not have done those things
A strong support group does wonders for people in all sorts of shitty positions

Guys, did they sum all 3 years up at the end?

Can you please answer this because I'm so confused

Admittedly I am 100% a delusional Amberprice shipper but I like to think that they hit the brakes on episode three to save some things for potential future releases centered around those two. You can only have them make out or sleep together so many times before it loses its value to the casual player.

Or maybe, that kind of "shock" ending was an attempt to freshen the wounds left behind by LiS because they want to pursue a story where Max somehow manages to save both of them. It would play into the fact that they have portrayed Max as a borderline bad guy in BtS, as it would give her a redemption arc.

I will reiterate that this is all very wishful thinking, but I once believed ever getting an Amberprice game at all was a wildly wishful thought.

Pretty much yeah
It's not unheard of.
Yes. It was a montage of all the little things we know about them. Getting tattoos during hair the photo booth pics etc

No one knows.

So I have a question about Frank and Rachel. When the two meet they make eye contact and have a look. I know several people here said they felt it implied that the two have met before but I got the exact opposite. This was their first meeting and the immediately found the other person interesting.

Followed by Frank stepping up and saving Rachel I feel like Rachel may have developed feelings for him for the rescue. Am I the only one who saw the scene that way?

I have to admit I really liked the characters of Frank and David. Both of them I hated at first and I did 180s on both their character quickly and really grew to like them both.

She's also the reason Chloe didn't have to live her entire teenage life in a medical bed, never having any friends at all, and wishing she could die before her respiratory system fails
Oh, and the reason why she isn't dead on the floor of a bathroom

I feel mostly the same way, but devil's advocate for some of them:

>What the fuck happened to the intimacy counter?
So the assumption was that this would have a larger payoff somewhere, but it would also have been serving a purpose if it was just subtly changing dialogue options between the girls here or there. Not sure to what degree it actually was actually doing this though.

>What the fuck happened to our choice of where Chloe and Rachel run of to mattering?
I mean, I don't think this is any real problem. We knew the girls were never going to leave, this was just messing around, daydreaming about fanciful plans.

>What the fuck happened to "The Tempest" having a bigger meaning in the story?
*shrug*

>What the fuck was the point of all the fire symbolism?
*shrug*
The firefighter's statements in the hospital about the fire basically magically going out seems weird. Obviously supposed to be implied to be connected to Rachel's stabbing ... but why?

>What the fuck happened to us finding out why "Rachel turned out the way she did?", or are we just supposed to assume because her mother was a drug addict, even though she can theoretically never meet her, influenced her somehow?
This even kinda breaks Season 1, depending on the final choice. In the alternate timeline, Rachel's parents didn't give up on searching for her, implying nobody told Rachel about James, they were still a loving family. In the main timeline, the family seems like it had already been kinda broken, and they had given up (perhaps even thinking she had run off with Sera?) All retroactive with BtS, of course. But now in one BtS ending, Rachel's family should still be in alternate timeline "loving family" mode? Which would perhaps maybe/sorta/kinda imply that the "tell Rachel the truth" ending is the canon ending? A leap in logic, but not a huuuge leap.

I'll add another one too: What the fuck happened with all the stuff about the raven?

>they want to pursue a story where Max somehow manages to save both of them
>they have portrayed Max as a borderline bad guy in BtS
You were certainly right with the first six words of your post.
Max doesn't need a redemption arc. She already had one that spanned five episodes.

That's what I thought. Frank obviously thought she was attractive. When Chloe tries to get Frank to meet them he does it when he finds out Chloe is helping "that girl who was with you at the mill"

D A R K R O O M

>cheating on your gf
Oh, so they were girlfriends now.

Chloe's not the only one who needed support. What about Joyce? She constantly struggled day by day to make ends meet, and all the while Chloe continued to make matters worse for the family.

Yeah? Did you play BtS? Of course they were girlfriends

Maybe. Who the fuck knows what was their thought process of botching the episode completely and adding that misery porn at the end.

>So I have a question about Frank and Rachel. When the two meet they make eye contact and have a look. I know several people here said they felt it implied that the two have met before but I got the exact opposite. This was their first meeting and the immediately found the other person interesting.
Yeah, I felt the same way as you. It looked like this was the first time Rachel had ever seen Frank, and was giving him a "checking you out" type look.

You're wrong and not a single thing from the games supports your nonsensical idea.
If that's the case then I retort with that after losing William and Max, Chloe was never happy again anyway. Everything with Rachel would always be connected to the past and all of Chloe's words in S1 don't change anything then neither does one BtS diary entry.

He does it no matter what you say.

Frank is 30 and Rachel is 15, this is gross.

They summed up major parts of those 3 years, why can't you just see it user?

We also found out Rachel wasn't acting bitchy towards Chloe either, despite her mistakes

Well if that's the case then she was at her least miserable in those 3 years with Rachel
The BtS Chloe is wondering if she'll ever care about anything again. And she cared about Rachel. Rachel was her literal light

>Game ended by showing April 22nd 2013 (the date when Rachel was kidnapt) while Chloe was calling Rachel repeatedly
Yes it summed up WHOLE 3 years.

>That adorable part where Chloe mentions Steph and Rachel all sleepy says something about how she thinks Steph is cute, but not as cute as Chloe

Too innocently adorable

>Rachel wasn't acting bitchy towards Chloe
So cheating on her with 2 much older men behind her back and wanting to run away with one of them is alright because Rachel kept a good attitude to Chloe throughout? What is the matter with you?

This? There were a few songs.

>Welcome home, Max
>Now we're totally bonded for life
>That's okay, we will. Forever.
>I've been trying to get out of Arcadia Bay since pretty much you left
>You make me feel like I still have a reason for being in Arcadia
>So it's time to start moving forward in time
>Don't look so sad, I'm never leaving you
>Stop beating yourself up! We've both paid out dues!
>You've made me laugh and smile like I haven't in years
>[Many, many, other quotes from Chloe]
All that's apparently worthless
But...
>Goodbye Max
Written once in a diary years before the start of the first game is totally valid and forever sums up Chloe's feelings

Okay.

Reminder that this game killed pricefield but it also killed Amberprice

Amberfags: not even once

Reminder that Rachel cheated on Chloe.

I was addressing the first part of the post that was replied to.

Reminder that in that 3 t5ear montage nothing suggests they were officially dating

>b-but Max didn't talk to Chloe for a loooooong time, and in my ending she killed Chloe, that cunt xddd

For a creepy stalker, Eliot has a point...also he's committing a felony by being in here.

How will Chaos Theory ruin her life when Max time travels to save Chloe and Rachel?

Wait so now they weren't girlfriends in love??? Dang, this changes everything!

Still the cutest girl in Arcadia Bay.

Still has the cutest girlfriend.

>>b-but Max didn't talk to Chloe for a loooooong time,
How can such evil exist in the world? I say this Max person must be stopped!

Rachel never acted bad nor used Chloe though, her only fault was giving her hope and hooking up with someonelse (Jefferson, I don't count Frank because she used Frank at some point)

But with Chloe, despite her mistakes Rachel was really genuine. You should've seen her actions during confrontation scene, and how she risked her life for Chloe

That goes for S1 too. How she was guiding Max/Chloe to the truth with her spirit. How she was actually involved all of those shit too

Speaking of felonies, Rachel never actually faces any consequences for the damage she inflicted on Arcadia Bay's forest, did she?

Her bun will be extra frizzled

This episode was a mess

>So what was the reason the game gave for them not to leave Arcadia?
>No reason. Chloe could have a functional Truck and thousands of bucks and Rachel could be so pissed off at her father but it doesn't fucking matter
>It had severe pacing problems. When I got to the hospital, I honestly thought I was maybe a third of my way into the episode. Maybe 50%. No, there are only two and a half scenes after that, not counting the montage.
>Locations were small and didn't have a lot of interactable objects.
>Things like Rachel being connected to the fire, Chloe's hallucinations, the raven theme, the storm, all of it was dropped abruptly.
>Sera's entire character is just laughable. She yells at Damon that she wants to see her daughter, then five minutes later she's asking Chloe to never mention her to Rachel. That whole scene felt like a dream sequence, with Frank and Damon suddenly disappearing and Sera just calmly smoking while Chloe was unconscious.
>Drew's hospital scene is pretty lackluster compared to Mikey's.
>Stealing money didn't matter in the end, nor did a lot of other major choices.
>It had several technical issues. Namely, sound mixing, voice acting felt weak in some places, animations were even more seizure-inducing that before.
>Damon dies offscreen, killed by a wounded and weakened unarmed guy. This is never brought up again.
>The whole story is about Rachel and her family; Chloe is simply on a quest to find Sera. That means Chloe's character doesn't really develop past what we already know about her, and a lot of scenes feel empty without Chloe being able to share her thoughts with anybody.
>Eliot's confrontation is hilarious. So is the dream sequence

To be fair, a forest fire isn't like an arson. Arsons are very easy to trace due to the amount of evidence you'll typically leave while causing the fire. A forest fire less so.

She has to come back as a deer spirit as her punishment for harming so much nature

Do you miss him now, /lisg/?

>we never did escape did we?
>we have lots of time still
No! Fug go live and be happy while you still can
Max had her chance. She Can track you down in LA if she really wants.

hahaha
no

From what I've seen of BtS, I don't think LiS and BtS can be considered connected in any way but the combined narrative.

David is even treated somewhat favorably!

>Meanwhile, in an apartment in Seattle

Did deck 9 fuck up which leg had the tattoo??

Just the good ol' gal pals
Never meanin' no harm
Beats all you never saw
Been in trouble with the law
Since the day they was born

Staightenin' the curves
Flattenin' the hills
Someday the mountain might get 'em
But the law never will

Makin' their way
The only way they know how
That's just a little bit more
Than the law will allow

Just the good ol' gal pals
Wouldn't change if they could
Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood

Her dad takes William's place. Photojump Max encourages young Chloe to be a friend to her in the intervening years.

But ultimately the relationship is soured when Kate takes the fall for a crime after Chloe guilt trips her. The Price family eventually leave Arcadia Bay, and Max and Chloe stop contacting Kate.

By the time Photojump Max returns to the present she's baffled as to why Kate despises her and Chloe.
