So I need some help, I can't find info on this anywhere.

On the test server and now on live 1.0 I experience a very quick tick of lag every 5~ seconds that stops my movement and forces me to accelerate from scratch again. This happens throughout the entirety of every single game in every mode at the exact interval of 5 seconds. This didn't happen on live prior to 1.0 and I can't find anything wrong with any other game I play online.

What gives? Do I have a setting wrong or is it something in the game I'm just going to have to wait for a patch to fix?

Yeah HDD, I'm no master but it seems normal. My frames don't falter when it happens and everything feels alright, it's just my character does a very quick and short warp backwards and all my momentum is gone. If it's a server issue I'd be relieved but is it? I haven't seen anyone else with the issue, my google skills can't find any posts on it, and when I play squads/duos my partners don't have it.

The strange thing about it is that it only happens when on foot, in cars I don't get it and if I'm jumping while it occurs I "skip" past the lag and nothing abnormal happens.

Is it? I get the same issue with settings on any level while the game runs 10x better than it ever has. The slight rubberband effect that happens is more pronounced on servers outside of my region too, it makes me think I have something set wrong somewhere and it's a network issue on my end.

This is actually realisitic. higher velocity rounds don't penetrate water as well. mythbusters did a thing on this, if you want to see it in action.
