For defenders, they can choose one of multiple windows/doors facing a spawn and have to only watch one spot where an attacker from a specific spawn will come from.
Attackers have to watch dozens of windows and doors as they approach the building.
Anyway, I don't think spawn peeks are that bad. Full runouts are a bigger problem.
