SRS is worse than spectres now. Because once you have spectres up you don't actually need to do anything except maybe through out a ball lightning at stuff.

No, just go around and kill shit, often there are packs of 4-5 zombies hidden along the edges. Getting to 7 by killing only big guy would take ages.

You don't _have_ to do this with spectres to make them attack. You do it because it's efficient for clearspeed and pleasant. At bosses or mobs you don't want to be near, you simply ball lightning and dodge mechanics.

Ball Lightning CoH setup is mainly for EE, which you should absolutely have with fire/cold spectres.

Golemancer shares the same advantages as spectres. It uses the same build, even.

Spectre AI is slightly better for clearing, in the case of Solar Guards, and it kills bosses faster with Tukohama dudes and Fire Eaters, but Golemancer is a happy medium and very reliable.

Spectres are cheaper to start, but Golemancer has the advantage of not requiring a unique 6L and so is vastly cheaper in the end. A 6L Vis Mortis will run you like 9ex, while a Golemancer can use a random 6L astral plate that costs 1ex, buy it's jewels for 3ex, and then kill shaper with zero effort.

Really, minion builds in general are patrician.

I like what they're trying to do with Shaper/Elder influence, but it's almost totally meaningless since the shaped bases you actually want are locked behind shaper kills anyway.

If I used a level 19 desecrate on a t17 map, with a level 19 Raise Spectre, did I fuck myself, or did I do it right to summon level 81 spectres? Or does a level 20 desecrate go to 100, and I fucked myself out of a few levels of spectres?

Inquisitor. Elementalist is garbage. You'd honestly be better off going Chieftain than Elementalist, and both are specks in the eye of the Inquisitor.

My biggest issue with this ninja nerf is that 3.1 was supposed to disrupt the shaped meta, I figured they'd reward running a full Atlas with at least tentative sustain so went for it, but as things are now it feels undoable.
Sextants as they are and their interaction with the Atlas makes doing anything else completely non-sensible; you get guaranteed layouts, sextant blocking and cheaper sextants.

Yeah, it's kind of counterintuitive. Sextant blocking in general feels like an oversight that they're too afraid to fix.

At this point I honestly think it would have been better to just hang the sake of it and implement something really straightforward and dumb, like +X% IIQ for each map you run in a chain without repeats, with diminishing returns after Y maps.

Like, I don't really want to run shitty maps, but I want to want to run them, if you get me. I want there to be some advantage to playing the Atlas in a non-autistic fashion.

Yeah that was the problem, and I thought they'd fix it this time around with the new mechanics, or at least they made it seem like this was the intention. Instead they quite obviously gutted map drops without any mention anywhere (so that people who wanted full Atlas would have warning), and seemingly made sextants the only way to manage sustain, which makes running or opening most natural reds not worth it at all.
On top of that they moved the most lucrative map into yellows, and made it the new Beach for sextants.

To be fair, they improved a lot of the shittier maps with 3.1

Cells isn't good, but it doesn't give me cancer anymore, for example.
