trick attack is a rogue skill that can only be used when you're hiding, it does extra damage when executed from behind. And hiding slows down your movement.

Tanks need to stop running off with pulls like retards. Period.

You do realize I can't use hide in battle, right? I have to do it BEFORE I enter a battle. That means I don't have the luxury of waiting for the battle to officially start before I go into hiding.

If you are talking about trash pulls, as long as you never touch the mobs yourself or get aggro you would still be able to do Hide before engaging.

if it takes waiting 5 seconds for the rogue to hide and shamble over to the ONE MOB out of 5 or so in the big pull, everyone in the party is losing two GCDs for it. Nobody is going to have anything to take advantage of the debuff(assuming they know what the debuff is and what mob of the trash pack even has it)
I would much rather have the tank wall pull rather than stand around with my hand on my dick while the rogue wastes everyone's time

You can use Hide after a tank has pulled as long as you dont hit the enemies or get hit by their AoEs. Youre not considered in combat till then.

I agree with this as a NIN player, using trick attack from hide, especially in low level content, is a waste of time.
You almost certainly lose DPS trying to do this.

All you have to do is wait 2 seconds for me to do the attack before running off like a retard.

It's only a waste of time if you can't get the trick attack off in a timely fashion. If you're waiting for the tank to group them and spend 5 or so seconds waiting to land it you will be losing damage. If you prep it and can mash it with impunity and can guarantee the mob won't move it is a dps gain.

Having said that if you're pubbing it with dipshit tanks it's a waste of time.
