I honestly think they cannot design legendary cards without it being a follower anymore. Seraph was the only one they can think of because it's a pretty straightforward wincon. flute was garbage tier. Both of these require amulet removal. Compare the amount of amulet vs follower removal they printed since DE. So it's much easier to balance legends if they have a stat line because the effect would be offset its survivability. Can you imagine if PDK is an amulet, even if it had, say, countdown 3?

And the certified vial prize of CG goes to...

The game is so fast, they have to print strong effects on followers or it's game over. See Mysteria or any leader effect, if those effects were spells or amulets, they'd be too low tempo or counterable. A SV game has to finish in 10 minutes max, if you print cards that can't threaten lethal while developing your game plan, it's no good.

I wouldn't mind Jormungand's effect as a 4pp spell desu. Strong effects with a body tackled on gives opportunity for counterplay and also justifies locking them above a certain pp cost (see: Leonidas)

I am very skeptical about it.
The effect seems good, but you need some setup and the result isn't really as game-winning as Roach.
I'll wait and see if it fits into a tempo Elf deck, but for now it's hard to predict.

Well Storm Haven is dead, but at least the rest of the Haven reveals were cd amulets like I thought. Turtle and Owl ones aren't too bad either, since you can just play the owl as a Blitz Lancer if you need to.
