Most mods just add more shit, not necessarily more depth. Magic mods just add a new spell that I can press/hold the mouse button with and the "overhauls" only add another perk tree or something that doesn't really affect gameplay all that much. Pretty much the same with armor and weapon mods too. Just more shit, widening the puddle instead of making it deeper.
Combat mods can be fun though, but they eventually become obsolete as your character gets stronger. Also they make fighting mages a pain in the ass since all the do is spam fire/ice/lighting at you.
