I'm a loving person in general. Didn't used to be so much, but Shizune really warmed my heart more and more over the years. When I see her trying her best for everyone... I kind of can't help myself but to try and hold that kindness. Really, she's a wonderful character, and the fans wo are warm, are too.

No amount of explaining will help if you don't see how strong-willed characters work. Just because someone looks cold, it doesn't mean they are. She runs a council for the sole reason of helping others, on top of that, she has to put up with her ass of a father. She's strong, so she expects everyone else to be, too. Also you have to remember, none of these girls were made with the intention of being bad people. If people see her that way, then they are missing the bigger picture.

I don't really care much for the alpha route. Shizune killing herself is just completely out of character. Drama for the sake of it, doesn't get me going.

I just don't feel it fits in the theme of KS and what they were going for. Misha still dies and I dunno, KS inspires a lot of people, I prefer that aspect over anything like that.

Wouldn't Shizune be more in character by making hard thing well rather than an easy thing well? Or is that in character, because she puts on a front of total competency when really she's kind of incompetent and immature underneath? I guess Emi is the masterchef of KS, with Hanako coming in second.

First time playing. Finished Hanako and Emi yesterday. Hanako a shit. Emi's story was tragic, as I imagine all of the stories are. This will be my last post in this general. I don't want to continue playing this game. It's really weird how it has reflected myself back to me and made me realize that I need to stop shitting up my life.

Vivid descriptions of her eyes, paying attention to the habits of her walking, noticing her perfume for the first time, and Jigoro's writing are examples of it being written with more passion and care. Shizune's final route frustrated me because she's my type in basically every single way but it nearly bored me to tears, nothing happened except for working, eating together, and a fishing scene that just drags on and on and on

Furthermore I don't like Misha at all so I didn't really mind that she an hero'd.

I'm not gonna say "you've got to continue playing," but I think each route has its own little lesson to teach (spare Hanako's). Shizune, Rin and Lilly's might not be relevant to you, but I'd say it's worth it anyway.

They really don't have anything in common other than being discussed a lot on the four chins. And that DDLC was shilled a lot in /ksg/ when it was launched (and KS is being spammed in /ddlc/ I think) so that may be why.

Is it just me, or do others find the game's soundtrack really grating and repetitive after a few runthroughs?
I've had enough of listening to Robert Glasper over and over again, and its too late to listen to Mac DeMarco Christmas music, so I need some new stuff.

And no weeb shit, please. This game has rotted my sanity enough.

I've always loved the soundtrack and found it fitting to the moments of the story. For instance when you hear that snap and cuckoo and know you're in for some Kenji shit. To each their own though.
Not sure what to recommend though, sorry. I searched for some good VN accompaniment music but it ended up weeb.

Some of it loops too much, Kenji's theme being kind of annoying in particular. Maybe that's because I tend to binge-read.

It's kind of difficult to know what a22 thinks because he's the most Veeky Forums in personality out of the lot. (No surprises there.)

He did write up a blog post about Shizune saying he didn't care that much for the character, and held absolutely no feelings towards her like Suriko and Crud did.

At the same time, he was heavily hinting that he still wanted to her to be loved, and felt disappointed about the reaction towards her... then said he didn't care about that either.

He's also the only main writer on the forums who is a mod, and not an admin. (That's weird?)

So I have no clue. The way the fanbase treated his route though, I'm not surprised he want's absolutely nothing to do with it, anymore. I kind of wonder what really went on, if anything did behind the scenes.

There's no KS2 but you might want to check out Full Hearts and Missing Starts. There's little chance of seeing them complete, to be honest, but you never know. One of them is getting a demo soon though, Missing Stars I think.

KS3D is well into production.

Yeah, the demo was released and everyone hated it. Looping soundtrack, wacky plot, a billion typo's and errors and that scene where the girl looks at the protagonist and compares it to the fact it looks like he murdered her dog. Crashes and unfinished sprites, too. That's not even quarter of the problems, either. It died as soon as the demo was released.

Ok, wew. Good thing that I expect nothing of these games.
Though, I'd like it if at least one of them was decent.
