Unless we discard despair arc and also any theories of Chiaki being an AI by Miaya/Chihiro and make Chiaki kind of like Mitarai; uninvolved with her classmates. Both are missing mothers so they could bond on that and Kirigiri hides her emotions for the sake of detective work while Sayaka has admitted that she restrains her own emotions for being an idol.
Because Sayaka is less of an open book than Naegi, there is more opportunity for subtle layered tension between the two than what you would get from Naezono or Naegiri.
Naegi is easy for Kirigiri to uncover but Sayaka is a bit of a mystery for her.
