Even then if IV happens to be your favorite even after you play the other games that's perfectly fine. For me it was my first game I actually beat and I was pretty impressed but after playing SJ and Nocturne it sort of just made me look at it in a different light. Still, IV is a damn good game and what it does well, like music and atmosphere, it does really fucking well.

Need some advice /smtg/. I started up Raidou 1 and sort of lost interest honestly. I made it up to chapter 3 and am just not really feeling it. There are aspects I like but it overall just hasn't "clicked" for me. I was planning to go out ad buy a copy of IV:A tomorrow since I haven't played it yet but feel bad since I hate dropping games like that. Should I just stick with Raidou 1 or come back to it later on?

Stick with Raidou 1. The combat is an absolute shit fest, but the story and everything else made it worthwhile. Took me forever to play it but seeing all of the goofy stuff made it worthwhile. Also Raidou 2 fixes the combat problem and a lot of other stuff so you have a great sequel and new game plus completion bonuses if you start the next game too

Not really, there's the prequel game Raidou 1 but the Raidou games are pretty different from everything else. While not really a SMT game there is Maken X, an action game made by Atlus and with art by Kaneko, however it doesn't have anything like the demon summoning and the only version in English is censored as fuck sadly.
