That was a good surprise, the default Portalcraft leader is boring as fuck

Pre-builds suck as playable decks, unless you really want a competitive deck right out of the box, you can get by with whatever you pull. It's what I did in tempest. It's even better for you because if rank is too hard you can opt for solo missions and just practice without worrying about winning.

Prebults arent great, just roll all your packs and see what you get. You can then vial cards you dont want to make cards you do (though avoid vialling legendaries).

Yeah I'd rather avoid the whole rerolling system and just grind solo stuff like the FAQ says. Maybe by then I'll find a niche of decks i want to play and vial the rest to fund what I actually want. Thanks, and have a good day 1 of this expac

Puppets feel really good. I understand that artifacts are more clunky and will take time to develop, but i'm really liking the idea of puppet decks right now.

Got these + 2 Alberts in 210 packs. Not bad.

They took it safely since they wanted to avoid making another expansion that breaks the game. That said I'm happy with that, although I do want some broken effects just for the sake of seeing different shit, like, Azi Dahaka has something going on with evolves, but no other new dragon card has a cool interaction with Evolve, they need to flesh out more stuff

Im pretty sure forest still has Wolf>Elephant for its OTK builds. Other than that Im certain someone will make an engine style combo deck with Portal. Just gotta wait for those crazy nips to brew something

I don't know if it will be all that great, but Portal looks to be the best PTP class right now, even more than Forest before rotation. Your ability to mass generate cards and discard cards is insane. The only issue is ever drawing PTP when you dilute your deck so much, which probably means Puppet PTP would function more consistently.

They postponed that event so we should be fine.

One more dumb question that the FAQ doesn't seem to answer: should I spent by rupies on the most current pack or as a new player would focusing on the standard set be a wiser choice?

Is it at all consistent without Roach? I dunno how I feel about the deck now that it relies on having 3 specific cards. Instead of also having a Roach backup plan.

The 1 cost amulet that gives artifact followers Rush seems mandatory for Artifact decks imo. It is bonkers how powerful it can be in the later turns.

I don't have a real list yet. I'm just experimenting with random portal cards between story chapters to see how it plays.

I underestimated portal a bit. It was absolutely necessary for them to put it on understatted followers, they steal tempo like crazy when they line up.
