/ffg/ how do I get good at fighting games again? I played old Ultimate Ninja and Mortal Kombat on ps2 but haven't touched a real fighting game since. Do skills transfer over between games even with different inputs? Like will a seasoned Smash or Blaz player always be good at games like Tekken if they eventually learn techs and shit?
I want to get good but I'm so sluggish it hurts. Doesn't help that I'm a full time student/part time IT slave so I don't ever have time to practice but I have this current break and thought I might pick up T7 on the cheap

fundamentals are fundamentals. if you know the basics of fighting games and the rock paper aspect of them, you should do fine trying to play against other scrubs until you got good. all you have to do is play meign, and don't play mindlessly
UNI[st] NA/EU release is in Feb.2018. A lot of the good characters in UNIEL got nerfed but the game is pretty well balanced now.

At ARC Revo Eltnum and Linne were in the grand finals and all the S rank characters got put out the tournament very early. Also, at Over The World the winner team was Yuzu, Byakuya and Nanase (1 B tier/2 A tier)
