Zero is much more condensed and and doesn't need to explain much since it has a very basic plot and characters, but since F/sn explains separate things in 3 different routes and it is much, MUCH longer than Zero, it's basically impossible to adapt it well to any medium.

Efficient at what? Depends entirely on what you're in need of. Assassin day isn't particularly great for any individual item, so unless you need multiple things there just go do whatever else. Same goes for the rest of the days. Hearts are the exception, really.

Rather than the best way, it's the ONLY way to farm gears right now. It's the only place they drop until America and the re-worked class dailys. The drop rate is insufferable, though.

It never gets easy to get them, user. It does get better though. Americas drop rate is still not good, but it's at least enough to not feel like you're completely wasting your time farming. And then you get Shinjuku, which is probably the first time Pages and Gears come at a pace that isn't fucking awful.
