Karna had a ton of other animations they needed to give him, like his spear strikes, Brahmastra, Brahmastra Kundala, and of course Vasavi Shakti. All of which were lavishly crafted.
Karna needed Kavacha and Kundala to try to gain an advantage over Gawain in the first place. This just makes his skill and prowess look all the worse. There's more to fights than just special abilities, and Karna has not managed to do anything impressive without liberal use of his NPs and special abilities. Karna even says it himself: him popping Kavacha and Kundala was a failure of his own resolve, it was a trump card he should have kept for later, and him using it when he did just made it all too easy to be countered. He should have considered the possibility that Leo would null it out, and indeed a warrior of his caliber should not have required it at that point nor should he have forgotten of the enemy Master's presence when he's used to fighting entire armies. The whole fight on Karna's part just looks like he's dancing in clownshoes.

Otherwise his stats would be ranked down, he wouldn't be able to use Brahmastra Kundala or Vasavi Shakti, and he wouldn't be easily the strongest normal Servant in CCC.
