M24.... About 4 kills to the death. It obliterates everything it faces.... except the 4.3 KV-1 tanks, some of which can only be killed through the turret ring... from behind.

IIRC the insides are pretty bare, with a lot of restoration done by Wargaming. They're trying to buy another sentinel, currently owned by Clive Palmer

Nah mate, it's a mockup. Tragically enough the ACIV thunderbolt was little more than a project that never got off the ground, basically up arming a pre-exisiting Sentinel Mk III tank's 2 pdr gun into a 17 pounder American firefly cannon. Specification wise, however, it promised to be a decent tank, solid frontal armour, reasonable top speed and a basic engine design, based off of a modified Sherman's chassis.
The project was concieved due to a perceived threat of Japanese land invasion in New Guinea and North Australia with German designed Tiger tanks, and thus a gun was required to kill them frontally. The threat never materialised though, and thus, combined with an influx of American built Lend Lease Shermans, the need for the Thunderbolt evaporated.
Some prototypes were built, however, though never having had seen combat, it's difficult to say how they would've performed.
Regardless, partly because of their interesting design history, and boatloads of muh aussie pride, it's one of my favourite tanks.

It also rapes t-34s in game.

it's relatively cheap for a rank IV premium and functions basically like an IS-2 so my guess it's for stingy goys who don't want to start from reserves and early war stuff

It's been pretty bad ever since the British started getting their cents in massive numbers and the strv81 became a thing.
Most games will be uptiers against tanks that can pen you frontally with ease. Tigers get routinely fucked by 6.7 and the cent mk1's stabilised gun.
