if you like him, sure.

At low MR, Oberon's most important stat is range. A 235 range Hallowed Ground (for a full circle) can clear out enemies up until level 40 - 50 on its own, and can clear up to 80 with 117 power + CP for strip.
In the long run, though, strength and range are his two most important, depending on build.

You can stack it up to four times, it's actually retarded DPS for low levels

strength to the max so you can buff out renewal to keep yourself alive while you learn how to hardcore parkour and eventually not need renewal to save your ass.

At low MR he's not going to have the mods for a healing build. He can stack strength, sure, but he won't have the efficiency or duration to hold it up for long enough, and then he'll still need space for things like rage/flow to keep himself topped up on energy through the healing.
His energy drain on Renewal builds is absolutely retarded for low MR to the point of absurdity

It's 5k or more for a full set. It's not even a remotely worth it, either, due to Zenurik. There's almost always infinitely cheaper arcanes that give better bonuses with Zenurik being a thing

The main reason the price skyrocketed is due to fewer and fewer people doing raids. That's a good thing in the long run, don't get me wrong, but for now you'll have to deal with price gauging if you want any arcanes.

And to think, I thought they were gonna nerf it.

seems like you're underselling it. arcane energize seems like a pretty big deal and i read that it works when using channeled abilities which the zenurik regeneration does not

Yeah, speaking as someone with a full set, it was worth every penny. It's practically infinite energy, so long as there's energy orbs around, and does work during channeled abilities.

Pure healing? Yeah, that's about right. Don't run Fleeting Expertise, though, because that does nothing for channeling builds. The -duration ends up preventing the -efficiency it gives from doing anything. Use Primed Continuity or Adrenaline in the last spot, instead.
That is, of course, if you want the absolute highest healing.
I personally run a build that just has high strength but has no issues keeping its healing up. With the max strength build your costs are still pretty high and it might be hard to keep up without Energize, etc.

It's literally ONLY for channeled sets, and the only sets it actually makes that much of a difference on, are ones like this: With Zenurik, channeled build or not, there's no excuse for running out of energy.
The character that gets the most benefits out of channeling for longer are Equinox and Oberon. You can include Banshee in there too because of Resonating Quake, but at endgame her channel is used more for CC than the damage, so you don't even really need to channel it forever, so you have plenty of time to get energy back.
Even Equinox can turn her channel off and collect orbs/use Zenurik once she wipes the map, and Oberon runs Adrenaline so he never needs more energy for orbs.
Even in the absolute worst case scenarios, it's not even a necessity, as energy pads exist. At best it's the epitome of QoL improvements as it makes life a little easier for you.
