I've been playing Acerola games since they were still Saboten, I think this one was a mix of both teams, team A did the art and team B did the story/world design; team B's art does not look as good, generally, and they are pretty easy to tell apart, and this game looks like the original artstyles. It's not necessarily bad, just, they better not be holding them up on making the non-NTR games or I will be pissed off.

Yes and no. The male part is definitively a step down from last game in the serie with even less thing to do, there are still some events that are way too much of a copy pasta from the previous games (Gynecology, the photo shoot leading to the adult video and the *incest* route are almost 1:1 reenactment).
It feels overall there was more scenes but a lot of them used the same CGs over and over again so i'm kind of mixed up on this one.

Death guide:
Fail to pee soon enough.
Wait outside at the start of the game too long.
Attempt to use the urinals(need to just repeatedly press X on them until she relents).
Twist the faucet too far open.
Twist the faucet too far shut.
Stare at the wall in the janitorial room too long.
Answer the door when peeing.
Do not get the rope before peeing.
Wait too long at the toilet.
Do not get the knife from the janitorial room before leaving(I think you still have the option even with the knife though).

I'm a bit annoyed that the credits picture isn't accessible in the recollections screen.

it's totally doable, just don't expect to do it on your first time playing the game. there are a number of steps required and even one mistake can get you killed.
actual spoilers too, don't read this if you intend to play the game to get the good end yourself
your save tracks how many deaths you get, and even one death locks you out of the good ending. the only way to get the good ending is to start a new file and do everything perfectly on the first attempt.

If that game was "mediocre" then you have very high standards. It was better than most games that come through here.

most were too EOP to clear it even though it was incredibly easy. Good CG and stuff, and it's already reached top 10 of some shit on DLsite sales where most of the other games in top 10 are from 2010 or earlier.

Here is your objective summary, you can trust me, I don't lie to people:
- It was rather short.
- It had some real good outfits.
- It ALMOST had some best of the year animation, but most of the animation was sadly hidden behind onscreen bushes for the ease of the animator...
- It's not translated.
- Gameplay was extremely easy and meh.
- Had some very hot scenes with the town guys, but all was somewhat vanilla.

I liked it up until it crashed and I lost two hours of progression.
