I've decided that every time one of these threads turns to shit, instead of reading it I'm going to spend time improving myself.
What should I start with first?

I would suggest learning a new language. It's something you can think about a lot and any focus on it is good for memorization. It would help to have a real intent for it rather than just thinking it would be cool or maybe a neat talking point.
I am not man enough to try drawing, it just looks aggravating but if you want to try, it certainly looks rewarding too.

Personally I'd go with learning a new language. It really seems like a worthwhile thing to do for the sake of broadening your viewpoint, and that makes learning a language and its related culture the kind of thing that can enhance all the others if and when you get to them.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I decided that playing the Ukulele would be fun and it would counter the awfulness the thread sometimes descends into.

I'm actually going to be practicing and learning all of the things I listed, I just wanted something to do when the threads were bad.

Italian is a great place to start for cooking, covers a lot of the bases and is some of the best tasting food out there

Little easier said than done, I guess I'm here for a reason. Still though the idea of one-off experiences is an idea, my creativity could subsist off of nostalgia because I did actually used to do things.

Fix your circadian rythym user & install something that changes the blue light from your monitor in the evenings. Blue light tells your body it's day time. removing it helps your body know it's time for bed.

Cooking is the most useful. However if you choose to learn an instrument definitely learn piano first. Learning piano will give you a musical understanding which will make learning other instruments and composing music much easier.

I know it can be hard user hell, i'm even a bit of a hypocrite for saying it but it's the best way I've found to write. My best poems/writing have come from very personal experiences. They don't even have to be too complicated. I've been meaning to write a poem about a walk I had to go get dinner.
