I've played Final Fantasy Legend and it was pretty decent, but some of the weird stuff it did was frustrating, like mutants occasionally forgetting a spell. It's probably because the game has been on sale enough times for everyone to have gotten and played it at some point. Then someone brings it up and we now have a large audience of people that can talk about the game. The opposite would be something like having a new game come out, but no one really getting it yet because it's too expensive and they're unsure of it. Only the few people who have the game can really talk about it. It's pretty hard to discuss games that no one has really played.
