In Stormblood its an exercise in stress management trying to keep PUG idiots a live, and in savage content with a static its just nothing but spamming AOE heals.

I had a lot of fun in HW as a main AST, but I gave it up in Stormblood simply because it wasnt healing anymore. No more did it matter if you picked out the charge target or hunt target and got a precast going at the right time, didnt matter if you got a shield off at the right time on someone or intercepted the tank buster. Didnt matter how quickly you saved someone from a kill puddle...

now it's just "Spam your AOE heals and then use your insta full heal on the tank after a tank buster, then go back to spamming AOE heals. Also bring a bard or someone who can feed you mana"

BLM if you like explosions and a simple roation but your positioning is important, NIN if you like the mudras, a quick rotation due to huton and some good utility

Selene isn't as useful as eos in most situations because eos gives both healers more dps uptime and that one buff selene has is too weak.

Eos makes up a good 20-25% of your healing output, at least in raids. If you have a really good group and you're good at faerie management, you can push that up to near 50% and spend most of your time spamming Broil II and dump your AF stacks into Energy Drain. And Selene is pretty crappy in current raid tiers. The 3% speed boost is nice, but AoE Esuna doesn't do much of anything and a silence is useful for, uh, the Iron Giant add in O3S maybe?

The silence has such a delay, it's worthless unless the cast is extremely long and you time it correctly. But yes, basically everything this user say is correct.
