Play as Vlad/Isabella because they are the rightful claimants to the throne

Use Skeltals to bind enemy army then mess them up with Vargheists and heavy cavalry
Use your lords or necromancers to help troops stay alive
You have no missile troops so use flying units and fast monsters to get to the enemy quickly

Skrolk has good spells but Queer is good for 1v1ing Lord's.

Skrolk starting area is easier in vortex.

Lizard artillery is really stronk in melee and hard to kill by any means (for the AI, MP is a lot different)

Skaven artillery has better ranged DPS.

To be honest Lizard artillery builds feel cheesy

Lizard artillary isnt as strong at range but is strapped to the back of a fucking dinosaur so it will wreck most things that make their way to it.

Loot the first tribe a few times before you awaken them, you need to jumpstart your economy and get growth asap as Chaos or else you become worthless

Not that it matters though. They still have only a partial unit roster since Norsca units are not implemented yet in ME. the result being that they don't stand a fucking chance against full factions.
I wouldn't bother with Chaos unless you're doing coop with someone who you can feed ruins to, or else it's just running around in circles taking back cities you already took.

Just become allies with the Skaven up north and watch them gobble up all the ruins you leave behind.

In the vortex campaign, sure.
In ME, it's obviously the Empire.

I tried that in my game, but then the Keeper of Secrets spawned and killed all his cities before I could get up there.

VC and Empire were also constantly harassing him so he couldn't expand very quickly.

I wonder what lores he would pull out.

It's been going all right for me so far. Maybe they will get bogged down once i actually push into Empire proper.
