this is me I am not a fantasy fag, I own warhammer 1 and only have 70 hours in it. Bought and then refunded warhammer 2 because it was poorly optimized.

I want a great historical game, but the devs simply seem fine with copy and pasting the exact same assets and calling it a new game.

The only real work they seemed to have done was make tons of settlements for britain.

I was playing sillybuggers and implying you should just use a Skink Priest instead of a Slann. That being said, using more than one mage isn't always a no-no because you could add up their combined wind regenerations and reserves for more expediency, although if you use spells from both you'll likely run out real quick so I never do. My only experience with using Slann was recruiting a single one and I didn't find him too bad once you get some levels, his real main flaw was lacking the punching power every single Lizardmen Lord/Hero type otherwise gets because of dinosaur mounts and having spells that didn't have that much badaboom so you just buff your already strong lines.

If you're not used to using heroes and are not doing so while playing Lizardmen you really should though, they become dinosaur lunacy incarnate after a certain point. Scar Heroes are pretty damn good to begin with from the start too because Saurus, and Skink Priests were often the source of "look at all this dead shit" killcounts when WH2 was fresh and new.

I've used the complimentary skink priest when running Kroq and managed to get fuckloads of kills just by spamming wind blast. Though I don't get WH's magic mechanics at all.

So I can use multiple mages to abuse their regeneration buffs and stacking them? I guess that sounds useful if it means I can access multiple lores of magic in a single stack but I don't even know anything about those. I normally keep it simple and use melee lords and heroes together to stomp enemy lords ASAP and put leadership buffs on multiple areas.

I can assume that smart people are not into meme wars on tiny audience forums

I don't have any real experience with it myself, but I've seen people in /twg/ do so with Teclis and his already wackadoodle winds and then adding another mage for more winds, although someone who has done such things could probably tell you better just how well that works out or if I'm just slightly off my nut.

All magic lores have their uses and you should learn all their tricks, very handy for factions like Empire that have a great many of them. You'll have always a counter.

Stainless steel with the AI fixed has this cool mechanic where when you charge a knight into the enemy, they go into a bloodlust and you can’t control them for another 20 or so seconds, which emulates the chaos of an actual cavalry charge and prevents the player from abusing too many cycle charges. This is balanced by the fact that knights are badasses that don’t usually need a second charge in that game.

Most honest history related questions get an answer. Campaign posting often doesn't, but Warhammer campaigns also don't get replies.

Regular cavalry using cycle charges isn't that bad, it's mostly flying monsters that abuse the mechanic way too hard.

I was really disappointed to see that the new britain game wasn't about the english civil war or something like that so we could finally get some steel and shot action. Thrones of Bongland better have some interesting mechanic going for it because this muddy coloured spearmanii shit is so fucking boring, I have to wonder what CA is thinking.

Hoping for a Three Kingdoms or Ming Dynasty China game in the future though.

See, this is what gets me the most about modern history titles. The filters are depressing and not at all realistic to look at. It's as if Viking era england doesn't have vibrant colours at all. It would make a huge difference to just remove the brown and grey colour filtering. Just compare vanilla Skyrim vs. Skyrim with an ENB, it's the same thing I'm talking about.
