Because I like playing with all my characters. Also, the content I like doing doesn't require heavy investment, so I never had to invest too much on a single character. Of course, some characters are better geared than the others (like my first character) or have more silver invested because of more expensive attributes, but they're mostly balanced.
I think I have brain problems. Making multiple characters is what kept me playing ToS for so long.
