I use rainbow life in various troll decks and you would be surprised how many brainlets attack a second time. Some extremely dumb people actually attack even more than twice. But of course, to count on your enemies stupidity is not a good strategy for a competitive deck. Rainbow Life is a decent card that maybe is slightly underrated but it's not an absolute killer. I mostly like to use it in combination with aegis of gaia.

Draining Shield is a mediocre card that is only decent due to the Duel Links meta and even then its mostly only used in stall decks Its literally just an upgraded Enchanted Javelin

I'm not trying to be a turboweeb, but Yu-Gi-Oh! legitmately is something that HAS to be experienced in the original sub. The Japanese OST for DM/GX/5Ds is so fucking amazing, the dub does a gigantic disservice to the series with its bland shitty music. You're missing out on some of the best duel music, the coolest opening songs, and don't even get me started on how stupid and ripped up the dialogue of the dubs was.
Entire scenes in DM/GX/5Ds become fucking ridiculous because of 4Kids, and extremely out of place/character/lacking emotion. Hell, they even cut out the entire IMPORTANT ending sequence of DM that showed what happened to all the characters at the end, as well as the heartwarming final sequence of Yugi's monologue as he goes to school the next day. Obviously entire seasons of GX/5Ds never made it to the dub, so I won't comment there.
Anything involving Yu-Gi-Oh!'s dub is cancer. I'm not going to sit here and defend Yu-Gi-Oh! like it's some god-tier artistic masterwork, but it's a series that I hold dear to my heart (sans anything after 5Ds) and (especially DM) had an awesome story and cast of characters.
Back to GX though, the dub is super mega ultra One Piece ya-yo-ya-yo tier levels of cringe and shitty dialogue changes, and the soundtrack went from 10/10 one of the best in the series to some generic shitty rock riffs.
tl;dr please anyone who hasnt watched DM/GX/5Ds subbed, PLEASE do so. I beg of you. Yu-Gi-Oh! is such a great series and deserves to be cherished and respected by watching the original, and you will not regret it. Forget everything you know about the dub and cast aside your childhood nostalgia.
