Completely new, but obviously based in their old designs. They look like they grew a few years and got powerful gear, but Lasswell still has a purple coat, etc.

They're the Season 2 versions of the characters. Very different, much more powerful 5* bases you need to pull for. There's currently one for each of the S1 protags (plus a couple other spoilery ones).

sakura is great, fina is on par with ayaka, lid has some of the best breaks, but doesn't really do much else, nichol is apparently good, and jake and lasswell are meh.

It's not even their real name in japanese, it's just hard to translate and type their titles as they use extravagant kanji.
CG Lasswell is actually "Knight of Flame and Frost Lasswell", CG Sakura is "Sage of the Cherry Blossom Grove Sakura", CG Fina is either "Purehearted Magician Fina" or "Magus of the White Lotus Fina" (it's really fucking hard to translate when they mean two things like that), CG Lid is "Engineer of the Prismatic Stars Lid", CG Nichol is "Unfathomable Strategist Nichol" or "Strategist of Deep Waters Nichol", and CG Jake is the worst meaning, variously, "Nameless Gunner Jake", "Anonymous Musketeer Jake", or "Unsigned Rifleman Jake".

They have different jobs now, really, it depends on what you want out of the gate. Turn 1 AoE Reraise or Turn 1 AoE barrier? There's arguments to be made for both. I just like Reraise more.

Kaliva's TMR is the only of it's kind in GL right now and since Dual Hand doesn't stack unless you have variants, having it for the future is a very good idea. If you have the resources, try for at least one Kaliva.

odds are they will embrace DH shenanigans with her 7* or even just with enhancements and that tmr would be nice to have.
you only need one too since the raid gacha gives out character moogles.
