Let's consider the two variables,

MHW comes out as a flop. It will be only played by MH fans because it's another MH game. Good for MH fans as less plebs, less shitters, and more competent hunters. The game will slowly wither and die over the course of 2 years.

OR

MHW is a huge success, like one of Capcom's best releases ever - both on design and business standpoints. Far more people playing the game, far more international appeal, maybe even some kind of league comes out of it. The game will become bloated for 6 months of continuous players, Capcom will make some decision, and everyone that isn't a fan by that point leaves and probably never touches another MH game again.

I'm hoping that it'll get good scores from critics, but be like Nier or Persona were only those who are genuinely interested in it or people who are fans already will pick it up. Attempting to attract the CoD/Battlefield console audience is a really, really bad idea.

It's sitting at 34, since one of them has been pushed back to being an update monster. It's alright. Not the worst, not the best. You'll get varying opinions for sure.

Doing these first grank quests in mh3u isnt that bad.. The grank monsters arent that bad so far, i noticed that they get into rage more often and that it lasts longer, thats about it.. Its not as hard as i thought it would be

It's a shame since I thought the list was all in-game original roster, with more non-list monsters being added a DLC. Having Deviljho as a "free update" makes me worried that the original roster is gonna be real small and a majority of the list are add-ons.

We don't really know if it was pushed back or not. The list was just a list of monsters that are in the game. We don't know the context, if it's a complete list, what's DLC and what isn't, or if it was just a list compiled based on trailers in the pipeline. One of them didn't even get a translated name.

This is disingenuous without pointing out how lists are inflated with rekins and recolors like dromes and constant PSP asset ports with nothing done to change the monster.

So, alright, I'm working through MH4U and I've basically completed 'most' of the Single Player Campaign caravan quests (I beat my first Fatalis a few days ago! But Silver Rath is SHIT, SHIT!!).

I then find out I need to increase my online HR to unlock more single player quests, soo.... How high does it need to be? Like, to just get access to the 'most' quests so I can keep on keeping on. I heard 7 was the one to shoot for?

You complete key quests and then eventually an urgent. Once you beat the urgent, your hunter rank will go up by 1. Ranks 1-4 I believe are low rank, ranks 5-7 are high rank, and anything about that is G-Rank. There are lists of key quests out on the internet, just google them.
