Can someone explain why I'm sometimes having to shoot someone 4 times with the SSPro

I will hear 4 hit markers or just have to shoot them a 4th time to splat them Sometimes at close range this happens

Three hits is always kill. Don't bother with fourth shot.

It was always true, though. Even in splat1 for the most part. That 52 damage only made it afraid of heights.

I can explain a long ranged situation.
Your shots are hitting at their absolute max range, which causes those shots to deal reduced damage, enough that it turns the SSP into a 4shot.

I mean just in terms of it being fun on its own. I don't really care about any of the rewards you get.

Pro has enough spare damage to make it almost never happen. 26 damage is huge.

Inklings recover HP faster now so that could be another reason. I don't know why they implemented this change.

Charger in this webm probably thought one tap shot would splat me but I'd already recovered.

You have to squid still in your ink and not get hit to recover health though. If you're getting shot by Pro, you ain't recovering shit.
Also, that's how it was in splat1.

Which is unusable outside testing range because you have to arc your shots that much.

If the Pro isn't that great a shot I can see a splash rushing them while swimming between their ink to recover enough HP to make a 4th shot be possible

That's exactly how it was in splat1 and nobody ever complained. And you literally don't recover shit until you come to a dead stop, which is 100% impractical in combat.

Tri-slosher was the most broken and easily abused weapon for most of spla2n, but it got a nerf some time in/around october, but it got un-nerfed back to its former power in the second-to-last patch.

Players are more concerned about inflating their own stats and making it look like they "carried" by collecting the most eggs that they put themselves in stupid situations that get the team wiped, and they're less willing to actually work together.

At least the lag in this game isn't as bad as Splat 1

Splat 1 is fucking awful right now since it's all japs. The lag is so bad the game itself sometimes visibly slows down.
