I'm playing sonic adventure 2 on the gamecube and it keeps crashing on this stage (weapons bed). It crashes mostly in the beginning. the farthest I've gotten is shortly after obtaining a new equipment.

To some extent i can understand why he wants people using his exact version, but it's greedy to try pressuring/expecting others to use your particular build. Does Freesync not work on Retroarch or something? I have a 75hz monitor and I've turned V-Sync off, enabled Audio Sync, set audio_rate_control to false and video_refresh_rate to 75 and tried it at 60 and still get screen tearing using FRTC doesn't help either.

i've never run into the text issue personally, but i'm not surprised it requires safe texture cache because some other sonic team games do.

retroarch is shit with gsync and freesync. Ironically I think it's dynamic refresh that fucks it.

When I try to install an APK in genymotion by dragging/dropping it always displays a transmission error. I have no fucking idea what that could be since my internet connection works in genymotion itself. I have also installed ARM Translation 1.1.

Not really, some more demanding games might need it. Yes, aside from specific game crashes/hangs, it can cause a FIFO desync and crash anytime (though it's extremely rare).

One of the main benefits of RetroArch is LOCKING the running rate to MATCH the refresh rate, and resampling the audio for any small change. Unlocking the refresh rate goes against its sync. So I'm really unsure why you'd want to.
