Yeah they are, FE8 is very similar to Awakening and FE7 is the one most early fans of the series started with. FE6 is harder and slightly more unpolished, but it's still worth experiencing.

Fuck fucka fuck, score variance is such bullshit in AA, my starting team is noticeably higher rating than main arena but I still get less points. In arena you can greatly mitigate it by sniping with the hundreds of crests they give you, AA however requires a 7 consecutive non shit scores or reset the whole run. I run 712-724 as my average AA range with rare outliers on either side, and just finished a run with mostly 712-14 and nothing over 720.
