I've thought about starting a new character in Gen, but when I think about how much work it would take to get him on par with my current character I lose all hope. I've got 421 hours on this character, there's no way he'll catch up.

It amounts to the same thing. You spend so much time farming materials and making gear for one character, starting a new one and doing it all over again feels like it would crush my soul.

He's the most unique monster in World so far, without a doubt.

I hope his equipment is at the very least good looking.

From what we know (which might only apply for LR), World has far less grind than other titles.

I thought I felt like hunting so I turned my game on, but I don't know what to hunt. I've forgotten all of the projects I was working on before I stopped playing.

He's talking about how equipment is extremely cheap to make in World. In the past, armor pieces might take 3-5 of a certain materials. But in World, each piece is limited to like 1 or 2 of 4 different materials. Like said, it could just be a LR thing or World just could be flat out easier in that regard.

I love the CB in World. I'm sad I didn't get to play much of the beta. Only got to try it and the IG.

Not him but I'll play with ya, I pretty much quit the game after unlocking HR and making the standard silver sol critmeme set cause I was burned out on putting over a thousand hours in 4U over the course of a few months.
Despite making it to endgame in both P3rd, X and XX I still haven't fought Amatsu, kinda wanna do that.

Discord effectively enables an inner circle within a general and the petty bullshit that entails. IRC, Teamspeak servers, Steam and Skype groups in this regard are no better, Discord itself is just a lot more trendier with porn gutter channels allowed, embedded images, and its closed-source nature help make it fair game for botnet accusations (in the /g/ sense, not literal).

The /mhg/ sever is surprisingly pretty tame in relationship to the threads, actually more well off than most.

Amatsu's neat. I can't fight him without a ranged weapon or IG though, nothing else reaches him.

Yeah, there's enough people of various languages playing the game, so I dunno why they can't make Gen and X compatible.

Legiana was starting his attack animation, which just so happened to entail turning his head that way. Rathalos does the same attack while in the air, it's like a tail sweep.

I dunno, is Alatreon as ball bustingly difficult as he was in 3U G-rank for a casual like me? Never cleared G event 3U Alatreon, even duoing with a friend we'd just time out, and frankly that made me never even consider ever fight him again even in another game.

I've only fought him enough to max out his IG, but he's a pain in the butt, yeah. Flies around way too much and won't stay still on the ground either. Definitely helps to have some gunners in the group iirc. To be honest, I think I was mostly carried in those fights too.
And I've only ever played on 3DS, and more recently the beta on PS4. I'm a gen4 babby.

I'm new to the series run me through how armour works when you're starting out. As discussed you're straight up given the 2 armours posted and have the option of wearing no armour at all. Do you make armours out of the normal wildlife and materials before you can take on actual monsters and make armour out of their bodies for example is the bone armour made from you rummaging through piles of bones
